Il grande Maestro Giovanni Lilliu, oltre che il più importante Archeologo del secolo scorso, fu anche un vivace intellettuale, attento a numerose tematiche che esulavano anche dall’archeologia, tematiche legate fortemente, però, alla cultura ed alla lingua della sua amata Sardegna. Questa ricchezza di interessi, questo amore per la complessità, è rispecchiata nel presente volume, in cui vari studiosi, soprattutto archeologi ma non solo, hanno voluto non soltanto ricordare il Maestro, ma anche riprendere le tematiche da Lui trattate, spesso approfondendole alla luce delle nuove scoperte e ricerche.
