    Description: Si c’est « malgré tout » qu’il faut défendre la sociologie, c’est malgré ce qu’elle est devenue. Bien loin de ses grandes espérances initiales et des splendeurs que nous ont léguées les Durkheim, Weber, Simmel, Mead, Elias, Mauss, etc. Ce que l’on appelle sociologie s’est peu à peu recroquevillé jusqu’à apparaître comme la « science (ou la pseudo science) des restes », la science de ce dont ne parlent ni les philosophes, ni les économistes, ni les historiens, ni les anthropologues, ni les théoriciens de la littérature, etc. Éclatée en de multiples chapelles théoriques ou idéologiques, privée de colonne vertébrale paradigmatique et institutionnelle, elle ne croit plus pouvoir trouver son unité que dans une référence de plus en plus incantatoire au « terrain » et à l’empirisme, et dans ses querelles infinies sur ce qui fait la bonne méthode ou le bon terrain. La sociologie classique, celle qu’il nous faut faire revivre et actualiser, se présentait tout autrement. Elle revendiquait hautement une approche empirique de la réalité et le souci d’établir des faits, elle aussi, mais elle n’imaginait pas que ce puisse être accompli hors-théorie et sans enjeux normatifs, c’est-à- dire éthiques et politiques... Dit autrement, elle se vivait comme le lieu et le moment généraliste de la science sociale générale. C’est cette sociologie là, autrement dit la science sociale générale, qui nous fait désormais défaut et qu’on appelle ici à renaître de ses cendres.

    Description: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences.

    Description: The art of printing with movable type made its appearance in Perugia -then as now, the heart of Italy- in 1471, when the city was under the sway of Braccio Baglioni. Perugia was home to an important university which had been attracting students from all over Europe for more than a century. They found hospitality in two colleges, of which the ‘Sapienza Vecchia’, in particular, was accustomed to accommodating students from abroad. The colleges were themselves instrumental in assisting the work of the earliest printers, all of them foreigners; their enterprise flourished for about fifteen years before strong competition from larger printing centres, notably Venice, took control of the Perugian book market. A second phase in local book production started at the turn of the century under the aegis of two major players, the Cartolari family and Bianchino dal Leone. The history of the book in Perugia is characterized by a quality and originality which is not reflected in the modest quantities produced there, and the major bibliographers have always taken an interest in it. All that and more can be found in this book, the outcome of lengthy research based on detailed analysis of all known editions and archival documents, including a number of new discoveries.

The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: The so-called data deluge, along with ever-increasing technological capabilities, tantalizes geographers with exciting opportunities for spatial data analysis. These opportunities come with challenges, because data and technology, alone, cannot address the pressing questions of our world. Spatial analysis, a.k.a. spatial statistics, is a lot more than colourful maps and attractive displays: still relatively underrepresented in the Italian geography, this discipline has grown from a strictly quantitative niche to part of a critical spatial science and continues to stimulate new developments in statistics because, as we know, spatial is special. This book, published in the series “New Geographies. Work Tools”, adds spatial analysis to the Italian geographer’s toolbox. Not a how-to manual, it presents some of the core analytical issues through the redundancy of narrative language and mathematical language. It traces the journey of spatial analysis from its roots in quantitative geography, GIS, and statistics, towards the definition of its own identity and the acceptance of its own relativity and limitations. It discusses the relationship of spatial analysis with GIScience and its efforts to embed critiques within its own discourse, emphasizing the role of theory, the importance of hypothesis testing, and acknowledging the ethics surrounding the use and analysis of data. A few examples illustrate practical implementations, showing the value added by spatial statistics in yielding reliable analyses that can support management decisions. It concludes with a brief outlook on the Italian geographic literature, where spatial analysis – like elsewhere – can play a role in competently accepting today’s opportunities and challenges, in a constructive dialogue within geography as a whole.

The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology.     Description: Perspective restitution is the inverse process of perspective and is therefore rooted in descriptive geometry; when this technique is applied to the restitution of dimensions from photos, it enters the territories of photogrammetry. The position on the border between two disciplines, different but related, has caused the solitude of perspective restitution from photos: rarely mentioned in studies on descriptive geometry, it is completely ignored in those dedicated to photogrammetry. Yet, perspective restitution is the only tool that allows us to reconstruct, from a single image, the 3D layout of a building. In his 1930 book dedicated to 'Metrophotography', Henri Deneux had highlighted, probably for the first time, the possibility of reconstructing, from a single photo, buildings or parts of them damaged by war events (Deneux referred to monuments damaged by the bombings of World War I). Today, digital drawing and modelling tools enable us to overcome many of the difficulties that affected perspective restitution from photos with traditional drawing tools. This volume illustrates the theoretical assumptions and the drawing and modelling techniques that allow us to achieve the 3D reconstruction of buildings and urban scenarios that no longer exist from one or few images.

    Description: Quel poids l’expérience des avant-gardes a-t-elle eu sur le développement de la photographie contemporaine italienne ? Quel rôle les institutions, le marché et la critique d’art ont-ils joué dans son essor ? Ce livre nous fait découvrir une période foisonnante d’échanges qui ont marqué la relation entre art et photographie en Italie. Arte povera, reportage d’art et représentation du patrimoine, anthropologie visuelle, architecture et urbanisme sont les coordonnées culturelles de la scène artistique et photographique italienne entre les années soixante et le début des années quatre-vingt. Le texte interroge la transformation de la notion d’œuvre et celle de son miroir fidèle, la photographie documentant l’art qui, au fil des années, a vu son statut changé en devenant instrument critique et œuvre elle-même. En Italie, cette photographie donna lieu à une extraordinaire oraison iconographique, malgré un manque paradoxal de reconnaissance de la part des institutions et des marchands d’images. Cet ouvrage présente le travail de Piero Manzoni, Giulio Paolini et des artistes de l’arte povera (Jannis Kounellis, Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Pino Pascali, Emilio Prini) ainsi que les recherches d’Ugo Mulas, Franco Vaccari, Mario Cresci, Cesare Tacchi, Luigi Ghirri, Germano Olivotto, Paolo Monti et bien d’autres, en soulignant les échanges avec la scène pop et conceptuelle américaine. L’analyse porte également sur les contributions des acteurs du milieu artistique : des critiques (Germano Celant, Achille Bonito Oliva, Arturo Carlo Quintavalle, Daniela Palazzoli, Filiberto Menna), un opérateur vidéo (Gerry Schum), des galeristes (Plinio De Martiis et Fabio Sargentini), autant de figures exemplaires d’un panorama complexe qui témoigne d’une nouvelle vision de l’art, de son espace d’exposition et de sa représentation dans les catalogues, les livres et les revues.

Un tel montage fait apparaître, entre les cabinets de curiosités d’hier et les macabres fantaisies zombie d’aujourd’hui, entre les spéculations de la culture savante et les fictions filmiques, de troublants et vivants échos. Et si la mélancolie des motifs funèbres et des Vanités a bien sa place dans cette fable anthropologique et esthétique, la tonalité qui s’en dégage est à l’opposé : rarement ouvrage érudit aura été comme celui-ci soulevé par une écriture aussi limpide et jubilatoire pour dire l’avènement moderne des morts-vivants.

    Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: The volume draws attention to some elements of ambiguity in the Italian Petrarchism of the 16th century, with insights also into the early 17th century. In particular, the book analyses: the debate on some contradictory or at least problematic aspects of Petrarch’s statements on love; the tension between literary artificiality and ostentation of sincerity in love letters; the ambiguity between sacred and profane in the encomiastic field, with special reference to the metaphor of the ‘temple’ in the so-called ‘temples of poems’. The path here proposed offers an idea of Petrarchism as a phenomenon less rigid and stereotyped than usually perceived. Its ambiguities or even contradictions can be subjects of debate, without necessarily taking the path of anti-petrarchism and parodic deformation.

Telle est la perspective du présent ouvrage, qui déplie et déploie deux grandes thématiques. Over time, the Report has become a useful reference for people working on migration, both within and outside Italy.     Description: The book traces the main stages of third mission and social impact assessment, in the context of the (recent) history of higher education and research assessment in Italy, starting with a review of the transformation of the relationship between the University and the society. Several social drives are leading the university to a series of transformations, at the national, European and international level. The requirement to use transparency criteria and the associated returns of research spending (in accountability) has become a fundamental issue in informing government, business, citizens and society on the achieved results. The introduction of social impact assessment frameworks is also advancing research agendas towards socially relevant domains, to provide solutions in international competitiveness, social welfare, sustainability and other grand challenges. A terminological and conceptual shift is occurring from a traditional concept of technology transfer and third mission towards a broader meaning of knowledge exchange and co-creation between universities and extra-academic actors and the impact generated. However, this shift towards a transdisciplinary, trans-epistemic and inclusive evaluation framework poses new challenges to capture this complexity, requiring the adoption of new methods and tools presented in this book. The international literature and debate on practices are vital combined with trial-and-error approaches, community involvement, and targeted pilot studies. Beyond controversies, resistances, and easily contrived enthusiasms, this is what this volume tries to investigate.

    Description: Comme le métis n’est pas métis par son enveloppe, mais par sa capacité à se construire en permanence, le sujet n’est pas sujet par analogie mais par différence. La différence porte en elle le double à condition de comprendre que le double n’est pas deux fois une unité mais l’impossibilité pour une chose d’être une. Des notions (l’étranger, la différence, l’altérité, le métis, la relégation, le métèque, l’autochtone, le même, l’unicité, l’identité…) mais aussi des penseurs (Héraclite, Parménide, Blanchot, Levinas, Maître Eckhart, Platon, Michaux, Lao Tseu, Deleuze, Derrida…) pour mieux saisir la nature profonde de cette communauté humaine. Fragmenter l’unité apparente de chaque singularité pour faire remonter sa propre étrangeté : c’est à cet instant précis peut-être que le mouvement de la communauté prend tout son sens, quand il résiste à l’uniforme. Commun, communion, communisme, communauté, communautaire, communautarisme… le terme de communauté est complexe. Utilisé à tort et à travers il perd son sens. Qu’est-ce qu’une communauté finalement ? Comment distinguer la communauté du communautarisme et comment éviter de réduire la communauté au communautaire ou l’identité à l’identitaire ? « Qu’est-ce donc qui nous manque ? », pour reprendre la question de Maître Eckhart. La communauté pour combler un manque ou la communauté comme comble du manque ? C’est l’interrogation centrale de cet essai sur la place de l’étranger dans la communauté humaine.

Il s'agit, dans un premier temps, de présenter le rôle et la signification de l'Androgyne dans les mythes anciens de la création, chez les philosophes grecs, dans la gnose, la philosophie hermétique des alchimistes et la cabale. Dans un second temps l'oeuvre de Marcel Duchamp sera abordée d'un point de vue de la figure « androgyne ». En particulier seront analysées de façon détaillée les deux grandes oeuvres de Duchamp, La Mariée mise a nu par ses célibataires même et Étant donnés: 1º la chute d'eau, 2º le gaz d'éclairage, en nous attachant à l'étude de leurs caractéristiques spécifiquement androgynes telles qu'elles ont été définies dans la première partie.

In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

This text recovers the poetic sense of our bonds with an original feeling that lies in the experience of the body, its symbolic values, the strength and voice of our bonds with the garments and the fabrics of the world. Clothes, from everyday objects, become world again when we learn to glimpse in them the chance of recognizing ourselves, of awakening their history and ours, of retracing and interweaving those subtle threads that allow us to speak the language of belongings. The voices in this plural text are placed within a large and durable research facility that is part of a philosophical approach to the experience aesthetics and the poetic-metaphorical aspect of existence.     Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: Analyzing with an ethnographic approach The Wire, one of the most important TV series on American ghettos, to understand and question the sociological perspective that emerges from the series, positioning it into the broader scientific debate. This is, in a nutshell, the work presented in the book It's all in the Game, the outcome of a laboratorial research activity carried out in 2020 by students and teachers of the Sociology of Communities and Urban Neighborhoods class, at the University of Bologna. The text is structured into four chapters, resulting from the four topics used to analysis the TV series: forms of social capital, the relationship between structural forces- culture of poverty and individual agency, neighborhood effects mechanism and the relationship between statistics and political action. Four subjects that are the core of many neighborhood- studies related researches and on which the TV series makes a clear stand. We analyzed those topics through a critical perspective, not considering them as a truth about ghettos, but as a very precise way of thinking about life in the American suburbs.

    Description: This volume concerns the role of the Italian schools, the associations and their actors to counteract educational dispersion and encourage the inclusion of minors with a migratory background. The work is part of a collaboration project between Inapp (National Institute for Public Policy Analysis) and Aiig (Italian Association of Geography Teachers) aimed to map the “Analysis, training and territorial activities for preventing/countering the risks of educational dispersion of young people with a migratory background” (June 2022 - March 2023). This collaboration stems from a program agreement between Inapp and Ministry of Labor and Social Policies - General Directorate of Immigration, on “Citizen Integration Policies of Third Countries”. The first part, focused on theoretical aspects, develops the idea of a school as welcoming community, in which disciplines such as geography and tools such as digital teaching can be significant resources to draw on. Related to this, a specific focus on the socio-cultural development in the border and internal areas is underlined. The second part collects the empirical evidences emerging from some territorial laboratories and training courses organized by Inapp and Aiig in various Italian regions. These evidences represent the main results of a qualitative survey on risks of educational dropout of young people with a migratory background. A wealth of proposals together with successful and critical factors is unraveled. In the last section of the volume, these various and original practices are reported by teachers, school managers, and operators, representatives of voluntary organisations, associations and third sector. The idea was to carry out the research not on the actors of inclusion, but with them, giving voice to their experiences. It was a sort of an ideal journey from the north of Italy, where the presence of students with a migratory background is higher, to the south, considered the land of their arrival and transit.

    Description: How do the consumption practices and meanings of a community change in the face of an event as exceptional as a global pandemic? The phase of emergency has altered not only the balance between the material and the digital dimension in our consumption, but also our relationship with the domesticity and the neighboring relations. Some of these changes could form the basis of long-lasting innovations; others, however, have already failed or are destined to disappear. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences.

    Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: This volume presents an internship path implemented at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, as a part of the Hons. Bachelor of Science in Primary Education. The project is the result of an experiential journey closely connected with the mission and activities of Multilab, a laboratory dedicated to scientific, ecological, cultural, and social education. The aim of de Lab is to promote excellence and creating interdependencies within and beyond the Faculty of Education. In the 21st century, The future of the school, demands teachers proficient in new languages and environments characterized by the digital dimension. The internship, particularly the indirect internship, serves as the space where students have the opportunity to practice these skills through communication, production, and sharing of artifacts. Their experience and reflections are later collected in an e-portfolio, a digital product that chronicles the progressive process of each student’s growth and development. The volume is the result of the collaborative efforts of the internship coordinators, the director of the degree program, and the successive deans of the Faculty between 2017- 2021. Together they designed an innovative path within Italian university landscape, focusing on teacher education pathways.

    Description: Voici l’un des lieux communs les plus rebattus de l’histoire littéraire : à l’ère de la modernité, la poésie aurait fait corps avec le livre, enserrée dans l’écrin d’un volume artisanal et destinée à quelques happy few. À la fin du XIXe siècle, le mythe mallarméen a consacré l’alliance du Livre et du Poème, purifiant la poésie de tout ce qui la rattachait encore à l’ordinaire de la vie sociale. Or rien n’est plus faux. Depuis la Révolution française, la poésie, sous toutes ses formes, a envahi l’espace public : une poésie mobilisée par les révolutions comme par les pouvoirs officiels, une poésie déclamée ou chantée au coin des rues, glissée dans les colonnes des journaux, écrite sur les murs, récitée à la radio, interprétée sur scène ou pour l’industrie du disque, mise en images au cinéma ou à la télévision, rappée, slamée, et profitant aujourd’hui de l’infinie plasticité du numérique. Il ne s’agit pas d’une production marginale à laquelle il faudrait rendre justice par bienveillance. Non seulement cette poésie protéiforme est quantitativement beaucoup plus importante que la poésie des livres ; et pourquoi serait-elle plus médiocre, pour la seule raison qu’elle réaliserait le rêve romantique d’une poésie concrètement adressée à tous ? Mais encore elle se révèle plus que jamais omniprésente, dissimulée au cœur d’une culture qu’on imaginait vouée au slorytelling et aux fictions en tout genre. C’est donc à une histoire radicalement nouvelle de la poésie moderne qu’invite cette première somme collective sur la poésie hors du livre, « délivrée », conçue et rédigée par une trentaine de spécialistes en histoire, littérature, philosophie, musicologie, histoire de l’art, sciences de l’information et de la communication, sociologie.

    Description: Dans le prolongement des précédents ouvrages de la collection « Chemins croisés », ce recueil d’articles de jeunes chercheurs anglicistes adopte une perspective pluridisciplinaire et transnationale afin de faire émerger de nouvelles pistes dans le champ d’étude des mécanismes de (dé)construction de l’altérité dans le monde anglophone. L’altérité se construit et se déconstruit d’abord dans le discours, par des mécanismes linguistiques de différenciation ou d’assimilation qui permettent de penser l’autre et de le désigner. Elle est travaillée en littérature et dans les arts représentatifs par des figures de dissociation ou de comparaison, par la fixation de types et la création de voix ; elle est constamment interrogée, remise en cause ou renversée par les littératures minoritaires ou postcoloniales.     Description: Every representation of the world, every drawing, every critical reflection ultimately describes ourselves; it defines us as people and as researchers. The text Cities suspended between capes and rivers collects the results of a research carried out for over a decade, from 2011 to 2023, which involved six small towns on the Sicilian Ionian coast: Forza d’Agrò, Casalvecchio, Mandanici, Fiumedinisi, Alì and Itala. The synthetic restitution of tangible and intangible data is graphically described in six reports dedicated to each city. The intent is to build an “identity map” characterized by the overlapping of numerous levels of interpretation: some analytical and structured, others abstract and synthetic, still others nuanced and playful.

    Description: Young pre-teens attending junior high schools are going through a very delicate period: they are not just engaged in a new and more complex school career but they are also engaged in their daily tasks of training and negotiating their identities and their roles in the different peer groups. This complex scenario is expanded by their first experiences, far from the eyes of adults, with technologies: tools that add, on the relational universe just described, an existential dimension that opens up new forms of communication mediated by digital contexts. Do technologies have an influence between on the relational dynamics that take place between students and their peers and between students and teachers? Which kind of influence? What dynamics are involved? What kind of technology is at stake? Is there a relationship of influence between the relationships mediated by the digital contexts and the social climate of a learning environment? What kind of influence? How much do students rely on digital-enriched relationships to satisfy their relationship needs? What perception do students and teachers have of relational dynamics mediated by digital contexts? And what role do they give to the school in this problem? To try to provide an answer to these questions, the volume presents a phenomenology of the witness of 21 teachers and 365 boys and girls belonging to two Italian and two French schools.
