    Description: Døden angår oss. Våre dødsforestillinger sier noe om hvem vi er, hvordan vi oppfatter oss selv, og hva som er viktig for oss. Tanatologi er vitenskapen og læren om døden. Den utgjør et voksende tverrfaglig felt internasjonalt. Alt som lever, må dø bidrar til å sette tanatologien på kartet i Norge. Boka springer ut fra et nytt nordisk nettverk av forskere som arbeider med døden fra ulike perspektiver og ulike fag: idéhistorie, filosofi, helsefag, kulturstudier, litteraturvitenskap, psykososiale studier, sosiologi og teologi. Er døden vårt siste tabu, eller snakker vi tvert imot mer om den enn før?I vår tid er døden blitt et medisinsk anliggende som først og fremst håndteres av helsepersonell. Hvordan skal vi forholde oss til døden som enkeltindivider og samfunn?

    Description: Monografie se zabývá sociolingvistickou analýzou současné situace ve Španělsku. Vychází z detailního popisu jazyků a dialektů současného Španělska a snaží se načrtnout jazykovou dimenzi konfliktů, ke kterým dochází v tomto mnohojazyčném státě. Popisuje historii a současnost složitého vztahu mezi jazykem oficiálním (španělština) a jazyky kooficiálními (katalánština, baskičtina, galicijština). Ukazuje, že jazykový rozměr je jen jedním z aspektů, byť důležitým, daleko složitějšího konfliktu a že vztah mezi tímto jazykovým rozměrem a dimenzí politickou, kulturní a sociální je daleko komplikovanější, než jak se obvykle prezentuje. Vychází z analýzy aktuálních statistických dat a kromě detailního popisu stavu na jednotlivých dvojjazyčných územích (Baskicko, Galicie, Katalánsko, Valencie, Baleáry) obsahuje též zobecňující komentář, z kterého vyplývá, jak rozdílná je povaha jazykových konfliktů na jednotlivých územích a jak obtížné je hledat řešení na centrální, celošpanělské úrovni.

    Description: This book presents an original historical source, entitled “An erudite and true narration of some changes that recently took place in the Grand Duchy of Moscow,” written by the Swedish ambassador to the court in Moscow and first printed in Stockholm in 1608. In his diplomatic report, the author vividly describes the political crisis in the Moscow empire, the tragic events of the Time of Troubles and the plots surrounding the successorship to the tsarist throne which he witnessed. He also depicts events that preceded these events, interpreting them in accordance with the territorial and confessional integrity of the Swedish Kingdom. In addition to the translation of the Swedish original into Czech, the book also contains a philological and historiographical essay, which sets the author’s work into the context of Swedish literature and political context at the turn of the 16th century. Thanks to its wide range of interpretive possibilities, the text is suitable material for students of philological and historical disciplines.

    Description: Kniha českému čtenáři zprostředkovává původní historický pramen „Učené a pravdivé vyprávění o některých změnách, jež se v nedávných letech udály v Moskevském velkoknížectví“, napsaný švédským vyslancem na moskevském dvoře a poprvé vydaný tiskem ve Stockholmu roku 1608. Autor ve své diplomatické zprávě barvitě líčí politickou krizi v moskevské říši, tragické události smuty a intriky kolem následnictví na carském trůnu, jejichž očitým svědkem se stal. Popisuje také předcházející události, jež interpretuje v souladu s územní i konfesní politikou Švédského království. Kniha vedle překladu švédského originálu do češtiny obsahuje též doprovodnou filologickou a historiografickou studii, zasazující autorovo dílo do kontextu švédské literatury i politických souvislostí na přelomu 16. a 17. století. Díky širokým interpretačním možnostem představuje vhodný materiál pro studium filologických i historických oborů.

    Description: In the period from the middle of the 19th century until the outbreak of the First World War, a modern Norwegian literature developed in parallel with a modern Norwegian media society. New forms of transport and communication, sound and imaging techniques, changed the conditions for what man could see, hear, do, know and imagine. How was Norwegian literature affected by these media technological changes? This book examines how the relationship between man and his media was expressed in Norwegian literature written in the period from 1850 to the beginning of the 20th century. The book shows how the literary innovations of the late 19th century can be understood as responses to the same period's media development, and thus advocates that a media aesthetic perspective can actualize and renew our understanding of this central period in Norwegian literary history.

    Description: I perioden fra midten av 1800-tallet og frem mot utbruddet av første verdenskrig utviklet en moderne norsk litteratur seg parallelt med et moderne norsk mediesamfunn. Nye former for transport og kommunikasjon, lyd- og avbildningsteknikker, endret betingelsene for hva mennesket kunne se, høre, gjøre, vite og forestille seg. Hvordan ble norsk litteratur påvirket av disse medieteknologiske endringene? "Det mediale gjennombruddet" undersøker hvordan forholdet mellom mennesket og dets medier kom til uttrykk i norsk litteratur skrevet i perioden fra 1850 til begynnelsen av 1900-tallet. Boken viser hvordan det sene 1800-tallets litterære fornyelser kan forstås som responser på den samme periodens medieutvikling, og tar slik til orde for at et medieestetisk perspektiv kan aktualisere og fornye vår forståelse av denne sentrale perioden i norsk litteraturhistorie.

    Description: Monografie romanisty Záviše Šumana je výsledkem jeho dlouhodobého studia raně novověké francouzské dramatické tvorby a dobové interpretace Aristotelovy Poetiky. Cenný je zejména jeho přístup teoreticko-metodologický, tj. zhodnocení korpusu teoretických a kritických textů o poetice tragédie v dobovém kontextu, a to s důrazem na co nejpřesnější analýzu dobových koncepcí a poukazem na to, že se teoretická řešení ne vždy shodovala s praxí. Dokladované texty francouzských originálů jsou uvedeny v paralelním postavení s (převážně) autorským překladem.
