Description: Geçmişte yaşanan iklim değişikliklerinin nedenlerinin ve etkilerinin anlaşılması, insanoğlunun gelecekte karşılaşacağı çevresel değişiklikleri önceden tahmin etmesi ve önlemler alması açısından önem arz etmektedir. İnsanın yeryüzündeki varlık süresince, yani Kuvaterner’de yaşanan iklim değişiklikleri, buzul ve buzularası çağlarının yaşanmasına yol açarak, yer küreyi ve üzerinde yaşayan canlıların hayatını şekillendirmiştir. Ülkemiz de Kuvaterner buzullaşmalarının etkisinde kalmış ve Anadolu’nun farklı bölgelerindeki yüksek alanlarda gelişen buzulların bazıları günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır. İklim değişikliği etkisiyle ortadan kalkan buzulların oluşturduğu yer şekilleri ise çoğu sahada korunmuştur. Anadolu’daki buzullaşmalar ve bunlara ait yer şekilleri araştırmacılar tarafından sıklıkla çalışılmış olmakla birlikte morfometrik analizler sınırlı sayıda araştırmada uygulanabilmiştir. Buzul morfometrisi konusunda yeni yöntem ve yaklaşımlar son buzul çağının etkilerini daha net anlaşılmamıza imkân tanımaktadır. Bu araştırma kitabı ile Batı Torosların doğu ucunda yer alan ve daha önce literatürde geçmeyen Kuvaterner buzullaşmalarının izlerinin yaygın bir şekilde gördüğümüz Kuşak Dağı’nın jeomorfolojik özelliklerini arazi çalışmaları ve İHA verileri kullanarak haritalamak, ayrıca morfometrik analizlerle Kuşak Dağı ve Batı Toroslar hakkında paleoiklimsel değerlendirmelerde bulunmak hedeflenmiştir. Yine bu kitapta buzul jeomorfolojisi konusunda yeni yöntem ve yaklaşımlar ayrıntılı açıklanmaya çalışılarak bu konularda çalışacak genç araştırmacılar için Türkçe kaynak kitabı olması amaçlanmıştır.

Description: Ausias March (1400-1459) lebte in einer Zeit der Umbrüche: Die letzten Gewissheiten des Mittelalters machten dem Geist der frühen Neuzeit Platz; das Bürgertum beginnt dem Adel ernsthaft Konkurrenz zu machen und die Ideale der hohen Minne der okzitanischen Trobadore geraten ins Schwanken Zugleich bricht König Alfons V. von Aragonien nach Italien auf, um dort König von Neapel zu werden und so die Königreiche der Aragonesischen Krone in Personalunion mit dem italienischen Süden zu verbinden. Der daraus resultierende rege kulturelle Austausch bringt die Ideen und Moden der italienischen Renaissance auch nach Valencia, der damals größten Stadt der iberischen Halbinsel. Es folgt das segle d'or de les lletres valencianes - das "goldene Jahrhundert der valencianischen Literatur", das als Vorläufer des darauffolgenden Siglo de oro der kastilischen Literatur gesehen werden kann. Im Bereich der Lyrik ist Ausias March zweifellos der wichtigste Repräsentant dieses Goldenen Zeitalters. Die vorliegende Anthologie führt ein in Leben und Werk und präsentiert 30 ausgewählte Gedichte im katalanischen Original und in einer metrischen deutschen Übersetzung.

En conjunt, els treballs del volum responen a dos objectius principals pel que fa a la presència dels afectes en el món actual. D’una banda, exploren els discursos sobre el dolor, la vulnerabilitat, la ràbia o la resiliència, entre d’altres conceptes, per explicar les funcions i les formes que prenen els afectes i les emocions en la cultura. I, d’altra banda, s’hi estudien els mecanismes pels quals l’art és capaç de qüestionar els mandats afectius imperants en la societat o, per contra, reproduir-los.

Bu çerçevede gerekli olan temel yapılar ayrıntılı olarak verilmiştir. Yaptığımız çalışmaları, genç araştırmacıların dikkatine sunmak ve bu konuların ülkemizde yaygınlaşmasını sağlamak hedeflenmektedir. Kitap beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Ön Bilgiler başlığı altında kitapta kullanılan fonksiyonel analiz, ölçü kuramı, soyut harmonik analizi ve Fourier analizine ilişkin temel kavramlar verilerek alt yapı kurulmaktadır. İkinci bölümde dışbükey fonksiyonlar ve temel özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü ve Dördüncü bölümler, bu kitabın temel çalışma konusu olan Young fonksiyonları ve Orlicz fonksiyon uzaylarına ayrılmıştır. Beşinci bölüm kitabın ana hedefini oluşturmaktadır. Description: The word orphan, derived from the root “yütm” meaning “to be alone, to be left alone”, expresses the uniqueness of the object. Being an orphan can be understood as a child being unprotected in terms of meeting his/her basic needs and observing his/her rights. Although the duty of protection and support is traditionally attributed to the father, it would be more appropriate to understand the concept of an orphan as a child who has lost material and spiritual support that would protect him from dangers even if his parents are alive. The fact that the term orphan is used in daily language in our civilization to evoke this situation also confirms the meaning. Our Holy Qur’an emphasizes the importance of protecting the rights of certain social groups to strengthen justice and solidarity in society. In the process of building a just and peaceful world, the poor, stranded travelers, close relatives, neighbors, and the needy can be immediately listed among these groups whose rights should be respected first and foremost. Among these groups, orphans are another group that is particularly emphasized. Orphanhood is not only associated with not being wealthy. Since orphanhood is used for children who are not capable of protecting and defending their rights, it is also a concept directly related to children’s rights. Therefore, treating the phenomenon of orphanhood within child rights will significantly contribute to understanding rights and freedom. A system of thought based on the protection of all children in this situation and the institutionalization of social solidarity in light of this can initiate a process that will bring about a perspective and institutionalization that can be extended to all rights. For all these reasons, it is of great importance that the Symposium on Orphans and Abandoned Children, which deals with the phenomenon of orphanhood from a scientific point of view and brings together academics, experts, and practitioners from different disciplines related to the subject, was organized on the World Children’s Day and that the academic papers here have been published as a book.

Geleneksel olarak himaye etme ve destek olma vazifesi babaya nispet edilse de, yetim kavramını bir çocuğun ebeveynleri sağ olsa da onu tehlikelerden koruyacak her türlü desteği yitirmiş olması olarak anlamak daha yerinde olacaktır. Medeniyet iklimimizde günlük dilde yetim ifadesinin bu durumu çağrıştıracak şekilde kullanılması da anlamı teyit etmektedir. Yüce kitabımız Kur’an-ı Kerim toplumda adaletin ve dayanışmanın güçlenmesi için bazı sosyal grupların haklarının gözetilmesinin önemine vurgu yapmaktadır. Adil ve barış içinde bir dünyanın inşa sürecinde hakları en başta gözetilmesi gereken bu gruplar içinde, yoksullar, yolda kalmışlar, yakın akrabalar, komşular, muhtaçlar hemen sıralanabilir. İşte bu gruplar arasında özellikle vurgulanan bir diğer grup yetimlerdir. Yetimlik sadece varsıl olmamakla ilişkilendirilemez. Yetimlik, haklarını koruyabilecek ve savunabilecek yeterlikte olmayan çocuklar için kullanıldığından doğrudan çocuk hakları ile ilgili bir kavram olarak da karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Dolayısıyla yetimlik olgusunu çocuk hakları içinde değerlendirmek, hak ve özgürlükler anlayışına da önemli katkılar yapabilecek bir yaklaşımı beraberinde getirecektir. Böyle durumda olan tüm çocukları korumayı esas alan bir düşünce sistemi ve bunun ışığında sosyal dayanışmanın kurumsal hale getirilmesi, tüm haklara teşmil edilebilecek bir bakış açısını ve kurumsallaşmayı beraberinde getirecek süreci başlatabilir. Description: Aquesta publicació recull les reflexions sorgides de la primera experiència del projecte «Inter-Accions. Metodologies Col·lectives per a Intervencions Urbanes» en forma d’articles breus dels seus participants. Inter-Accions és un projecte col·laborador interuniversitari d’estudiants i per als estudiants d’art i arquitectura, i es planteja davant la necessitat d’obrir espais autònoms i interdisciplinaris d’aprenentatge en la mateixa institució. L’objectiu principal és construir un espai d’experimentació col·lectiva on sigui possible l’intercanvi d’eines i coneixements que vagin més enllà de la mateixa disciplina. Des d’aquesta perspectiva crítica, i en un context acadèmic universitari, es proposa aquesta experiència perquè arquitectes i artistes comparteixin rols, i perquè, a partir del treball conjunt, estableixin noves metodologies útils, pràctiques i crítiques aplicables als camps de treball respectius per analitzar i treballar sobre les interaccions que es produeixen en l’espai social de la ciutat.

Description: Narratives of Violence is a contribution to the ethical turn in literary studies. In the current context of systemic political violence unleashed in the wake of 9/11 and the global advance of capitalism and neoliberalism, literature constitutes a particularly timely device to raise awareness about injustice, the abuse of power, and the violation of human rights. Literature may also be helpful in order to face social challenges such as peaceful coexistence with immigrants and displaced people, and the settling of refugees. This book is an invitation to read a selection of narratives of violence anchored in different geopolitical realities, and located in historical contexts ranging from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. By adopting ethical criticism in order to tackle the dilemmas posed by these stories, we aim to contribute to the configuration of global imaginaries based on respect, recognition, and empathy, especially towards those who are most vulnerable. This collection offers critical readings of works of various genres, originally written in different languages. Authors discussed comprise Mrīrīda nʾait ʿAtiq (Morocco), Janina Hescheles (Poland), Eva Koch (Denmark), María Galindo (Bolivia) and Sonia Sánchez (Argentina), Najat El Hachmi (Morocco-Catalonia), Arundhati Roy (India), Leila Abdelrazaq (Palestine), and Yū Miri, Murata Sayaka, and Kawakami Mieko (Japan). The corpus includes biographical, autobiographical, testimonial, and fictional narratives, sometimes very close to documentary or life history. The works analysed in this collection portray experiences of violence and oppression caused by social, political, economic, and military conflicts. The novelty of this book lies in the challenge it poses to the Western-centric and patriarchal bias often found in similar collections of scholarly essays. Thus, the book focuses on female authors, seeking to give visibility and voice to women victims, generally forgotten in hegemonic cultural discourses.

Description: Książka jest owocem pracy projektach z obszaru edukacji obywatelskiej, herstorii i polityki pamięci, poświęconych udziałowi kobiet w konfliktach zbrojnych oraz kwestii upamiętniania i politycznego wykorzystania ich symbolicznego potencjału. Herstoria to praca nad pamięcią mniejszościową, opowieściami, których się „nie opowiada”, to praca z wielością narracji, które przeglądają się w sobie. Dlatego myślenie herstoryczne jest elastyczne i dopuszcza także inne metody, również sztukę czy działania animacyjne, które pomagają wydobyć to, co przemilczane. Autorki starają się zmieścić w metodologicznych ramach refleksji hermeneutycznej, gdzie dopiero w dialogu ujawnia się milczenie i niemożność nadania formy temu, co było dotąd przemilczane. Odnoszą się do wypowiedzi wspomnieniowych, auto- i biograficznych, świadectw, tekstów politycznych, prawnych czy „świeckich hagiografii” tworzonych oddolnie. W polu ich zainteresowań mieszczą się także procesy społeczne i zbiorowa pamięć oraz formy mentalności społecznej. Odwołują się do zasobów antropologii politycznej zainteresowanej tożsamościami zbiorowymi, narracjami kulturowymi, znaczeniem i interpretacją symboli, budujących metafory i wyobrażenia, toposy. Przyświeca nam idea, że pamięć jest polityczna, a to, jak o niej myślimy, mówimy i ją tworzymy, jest zagadnieniem politycznym, objawiającym się w tekstach i praktykach kulturowych, których herstoria jest przykładem, a które stanowią mobilizujące uprawomocnienie zbiorowych wizji wspólnoty.

Description: Este volumen es un intento de renovación y desperiferialización de los estudios ibéricos, enfocando lo periférico como posicionamiento geográfico, cultural e ideológico, a la hora de cuestionar la óptica hegemónica del centro y revisar los cánones culturales preexistentes, y sus vacíos, exclusiones e invisibilidades. Se trata de una múltiple tarea – realizada desde Australia y Nueva Zelanda – que incluye el estudio de formas culturales periféricas, tanto de las llamadas nacionalidades históricas ausentes del canon cultural/literario/lingüístico castellano, como de otros grupos minorizados que han sido tradicionalmente desplazados a diferentes tipos de periferia, tales como los exiliados, los presos políticos, los inmigrantes, los gitanos, las clases trabajadoras, los sujetos coloniales o las minorías sexuales, en un contexto global.

Description: Cumhuriyetimizin yüzüncü yıldönümünü idrak ettiğimiz 2023 yılında Türkiye Ekonomisi’nin yüz yıllık yolculuğunun çeşitli yönleriyle incelenmesi ve böylece Fakültemizin ilk iktisat kongresinden itibaren atılmaya başlanan kuruluş tohumlarının 1936 yılında filizlenmesiyle Türkiye Ekonomisi’nin fikri sahada en önemli aktörü olan İktisat Fakültemizin de Cumhuriyetimizin ikinci yüzyılına girerken, geçen yüzyılın önemli tanıklarından biri olması hasebiyle geniş kurumsal kültürü ve yetkin kadrosuyla tanıklığını dillendirme görev ve sorumluğunun bulunduğuna şüphe yoktur. Fakültemizin bu anlamlı yılda her biri kendi alanında birbirinden değerli yazıların yer aldığı bu esere imza atması hepimiz için büyük bir gurur ve memnuniyet vesilesi olmuştur. Kitapta Cumhuriyetimizin ilk yüz yılında Türkiye Ekonomisi; mali, siyasi, hukuki, sosyolojik ve davranış bilimleriyle ilişkisi ve etkileşimi çerçevesinde ele alınmış ve böylece bu döneme global bir perspektiften yaklaşılması amaçlanmıştır. Kitap projesinin Cumhuriyet Dönemiyle sınırlı tutulması, ilk yüzyılın tamamlanarak ikinci yüzyıla geçilmekte olmasının törensel bir sonucudur. Gayet tabiidir ki; kitapta incelenen hususların büyük bir kısmının Cumhuriyet öncesinde Osmanlı Dönemine uzanan kökleri, öncülleri bulunmaktadır. Zamanın devamlılık gösteren bir süreç olduğu dikkate alındığında Cumhuriyetimizin ilk yüz yılından önceki zamanlarla, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu dönemi gelişmeleriyle birlikte okunmasının geleceğin daha isabetli planlanmasına önemli katkılar sağlayacağı unutulmamalıdır.

Description: Since COVID-19 entered our lives, it has affected our social life, our working life, our lifestyle, our patient care services, our research, and even our behavioral style. Moreover, this epidemic has affected not only one country but also all countries of the world at the same time and with a similar intensity. Almost the health systems of the countries were tested with a test consisting of the same questions. During the pandemic, many unknown equations were intertwined. We had so many unknowns at the beginning of the epidemic. We did not yet clearly know how we approached patients, how to treat them, and what drugs should be given. Over the past two years, much research and many experiences have taught us how to behave against the disease. During the pandemic, we learned by experience how damaging information pollution can be. The epidemic also showed us the vaccine wars. We have seen how valuable the vaccines we use to get rid of the epidemic are, how developed countries have entered vaccine wars, and the change in the dynamics of the epidemic with vaccination. The years 2020-2022 will be defined as the epidemic years. During this epidemic, we saw that it was precious for physicians to get the correct information. This source has been tried to be created thanks to the fact that it has written down the experiences gained by experiencing this epidemic in person. Description: COVID-19 hayatımıza girdiği tarihten beri sosyal hayatımızı, çalışma hayatımızı, yaşayışımızı, hasta bakım hizmetlerini, araştırmalarımızı ve hatta davranış tarzımızı etkiledi. Üstelik bu öyle bir salgın ki sadece bir ülkede değil, bütün dünya ülkelerinde aynı zamanda ve benzer yoğunlukta etkilendi. Adeta ülkelerin sağlık sistemleri aynı sorulardan oluşan bir sınavla sınandı. Salgın sırasında birçok bilinmeyen denklem iç içe idi. Salgın başında o kadar çok bilinmeyenimiz vardı ki. Hastalara nasıl yaklaştığımızı, nasıl tedavi vereceğimizi ve hangi ilaçların verilmesi gerektiğini henüz net bir şekilde bilmiyorduk. Geçen iki yıl zarfında birçok araştırma ve birçok deneyim bizim hastalığa karşı nasıl davranmamız gerektiğini öğretti. Salgın sırasında bilgi kirliliğinin ne kadar zarar verebilir olduğunu yaşayarak öğrendik. Salgın bize birde aşı savaşlarını gösterdi. Salgından kurtulmak için kullandığımız aşıların ne kadar değerli olduğunu, gelişmiş ülkelerin nasıl aşı savaşlarına girdiğini aşılama ile beraber salgın dinamiklerindeki değişimi gördük. 2020-2022 yılları salgın yılları olarak tanımlanacaktır. Bu salgın sırasında hekimlerin doğru bilgilerin ulaşmasının çok değerli olduğunu gördük. Elinizdeki bu kaynak salgını bizzat yaşayarak elde edilen tecrübelerini yazıya dökmesi sayesinde oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Kitabın oluşturulmasındaki emeği olan tüm arkadaşlarımıza içten teşekkürlerimizi arz ediyoruz. Bu kitabın okuyuculara fayda getirmesini diliyoruz. Description: The present volume, a collection of papers focusing on Venice and those former Venetian colonies which passed to the Ottoman Empire during the early Modern age, retraces the relationship between Venetians and Ottomans in terms of their economic and social history from the end of the XV to the XVIII century showing the permeability of the ruling forces of these two great empires within a continuous and changing stream.

Description: Turkic World studies seem to be a topic that attracts scientific attention day by day. The continuous increase in cooperation, rapprochement, and mobility between Turkish-speaking countries and communities since 1991 might be shown as the main dynamic behind this interest. The richness of the Turkic Republics in terms of natural resources, their location on the energy and transportation corridors, the change of the balances in the Caucasus with the Second Karabakh War in 2020, and the transition of the Turkic Council from a cooperation organization to an interstate organization in 2021 under the name of the "Organization of Turkic States" also accelerate the work of the Turkic World. In the meantime, the popularization of some geopolitical determinations and predictions in the context of scientific interest in the region can be shown as an important factor. Similar to the rise of Europe in the industrial age, we can talk about the rise of Asia in the information age. The sources of political and economic power are shifting to Asian geopolitics and this process continues to strengthen. Such analyses and predictions, which bring to the agenda that in the 2050s, Asia will regain its former central position also encourage academic interest in Central Asia. This book is the product of the goal of creating an original work for the Turkish World with gap-filling parameters and process analyses determined by a meticulous preliminary study in the light of the mentioned background. In this direction, three basic perspectives such as the effort to determine the capacities of the countries with comparative analyses, to look at the Turkish World from the perspective of problems, and to embody the Turkish World based on the community, autonomous region, and country sections dominate the work. With comparative analyses, it has been tried to embody the capacities of the countries within the parameters such as sustainable development potential, transportation systems, scientific performance, evolution in the political system, education system, and values of education. On the other hand, the crises affecting the Turkic World were discussed with the analysis of Karabakh, which is the main crisis, and the Russia-Ukraine War, which is the current crisis. On the other hand, the analysis of the thirty-year process in the Turkish World, starting from the scales of the community, autonomous region, and country, was carried out through the examples of Georgia, Tatarstan, and Uzbekistan.

Türk Cumhuriyetlerinin doğal kaynaklar bakımından zengin olması, aynı zamanda enerji ve ulaşım koridorları üzerinde yer almaları, 2020’deki İkinci Karabağ Savaşıyla Kafkasya’daki dengelerin değişmesi ve Türk Konseyi’nin 2021 yılında “Türk Devletleri Teşkilatı” adını alarak bir iş birliği örgütünden devletlerarası teşkilata geçiş süreci içine girmesi gibi gelişmeler de Türk Dünyası çalışmalarına ivme kazandırmaktadır. Bu arada bölgeye olan bilimsel ilgi bağlamında bazı jeopolitik tespit ve öngörülerin popülerleşmesinden de bahsedilebilir. Buna göre sanayi çağında Avrupa’nın yükselişine benzer bir şekilde bilgi çağında da Asya’nın yükselişi söz konusudur. Politik ve ekonomik güç kaynakları Asya jeopolitiğine kaymakta ve bu süreç güçlenerek devam etmektedir. Asya’nın 2050’li yıllarda eski merkezi konumuna tekrar ulaşacağını gündeme taşıyan bu tarz analiz ve öngörüler Orta Asya’ya yönelik akademik ilgiyi de teşvik edici niteliktedir. Bu kitap bahsedilen arka planın ışığı altında, titiz bir ön çalışmayla belirlenen boşluk doldurucu parametreler ve süreç analizleriyle Türk Dünyasına yönelik özgün bir eser oluşturma hedefinin ürünüdür. Bu doğrultuda; karşılaştırmalı analizlerle ülke kapasitelerini belirleme çabası, Türk Dünyasına sorunlar penceresinden bakma ve yine Türk Dünyasını topluluk, özerk bölge ve ülke kesitlerinden hareketle somutlaştırma gibi üç temel bakış açısı esere hâkimdir. Karşılaştırmalı analizlerle ülke kapasitelerini somutlaştırma; sürdürülebilir kalkınma potansiyeli, ulaşım sistemleri, bilimsel performans, siyasal sistemdeki evrim, eğitim sistemi ve değerler eğitimi gibi parametreler dâhilinde gerçekleştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Türk Dünyasını etkileyen krizler ise; başlıca kriz konumunda olan Karabağ ve güncel kriz olan Rusya-Ukrayna Savaşına yönelik analizlerle ele alınmıştır. Türk Dünyasındaki otuz yıllık sürece topluluk, özerk bölge ve ülke ölçeklerinden hareketle göz atma ise; Gürcistan, Tataristan ve Özbekistan örnekleri üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Description: Yaşlanma, hayatın kaçınılmaz ve ertelenemez bir parçasıdır. Yaşlanma ile birlikte hücrelerimizde ve organlarımızda fonksiyonel ve yapısal önemli değişiklikler olmaktadır. Dünyada 20.Yüzyılın başında başlayan hızlı nüfus artışı ile birlikte yaşam şartlarında düzelme ve tedavi seçeneklerinin artması yaşlı nüfus sayısının da artmasına neden olmuştur. 2030 yılında, dünya üzerinde her altı kişiden birinin 60 yaş üzerinde olacağı öngörülmüştür. 80 yaş üzerindeki bireylerin ise 426 milyon olması beklenmektedir. Bu artış nedeniyle tek başına “yaşlı” kavramı yeterli olmamış, genç yaşlılık (65-74 yaş), orta yaşlılık (75-84 yaş) ileri yaşlılık (〉85 yaş) kavramlarının kullanılması gerektiği öne sürülmüştür. Bir ülkenin yaşlı nüfusunun toplam nüfusa oranı %8-10 arasında olması ülkenin ‘’yaşlı’’, %10 üzerinde olması ‘’çok yaşlı’’ olduğu anlamına gelmektedir. Ülkemizde bu oranın 2050 yılından %20.8 olması beklenmektedir. 2030 yılında ise ortalama yaşam süresi 74-79 yıl olacaktır. Yaşlanmanın toplumlarda artışı bazı sağlık sorunlarının daha sık görülmesine neden olmaktadır. Buna paralel olarak 65 yaş üzerindeki bireylerin dahili hastalıkları, psikososyal yaşamları ve beraberinde koruyucu sağlık hizmetleri ile ilgilenen geriatri bilim dalı giderek artan bir öneme sahip olmaktadır. Yaşlanma, diğer organ sistemlerinde olduğu gibi böbreklerde de moleküler, fonksiyonel ve yapısal değişikliklere neden olmaktadır. Yaşlanmaya yanıt olarak böbreklerde hemodinamik ve fizyolojik önemli değişiklikler ortaya çıkar. İyileşme süresi uzar, hasarlanmaya dayanma yeteneği azalır. Ayrıca yaşla birlikte artan ve böbrek hastalıklarının en önemli nedenlerinden olan hipertansiyon ve diyabet gibi hastalıklarda akut ve kronik böbrek hastalığının yaşlılarda daha sık görülmesine neden olur. Yaşlılarda, böbrek hastalığının yanı sıra çoklu hastalıkların birlikte olması, polifarmasi ihtiyacı, ilaç metabolizmasının karaciğer fonksiyonlarındaki değişiklikler gibi çeşitli nedenlerle farklılaşması nefrologların ya da böbrek hastalıklarının tedavisi ile uğraşan hekimlerin günlük pratiklerinde göz önünde bulundurmaları gereken kavramlardır. Ne yazık ki geriatrik nefroloji kavramı, nefroloji ve İç hastalıkları eğitimi içinde yeterli öneme kavuşamamıştır. Ülkemizde ve dünya da geriatrik nefroloji alanında az sayıda bilimsel çalışma mevcuttur. Konuyla ilgili başvuru kitabı ise hemen hemen hiç yoktur. Bu alandaki boşluğu kısmen de olsa doldurmayı amaçlayan bu kitap nefroloji ve geriatri bilim dallarında çalışan bilim insanlarının katkıları ve özverileriyle oluşmuştur.

Description: With the onset of integration of web technologies into our lives, a global transformation process has been triggered and traditional approaches have tended to evolve into digital organisms as a past aspect of the millennium line. The one-way information transfer process, which was activated with the Web 1.0 era, took root on the basis of content sharing and 'collaboration' with Web 2.0, and was characterized in a 'smart' and 'individualized' form with the Web 3.0, and eventually ended up searching for an artificial intelligence-oriented direction. The developments in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing algorithms, on the other hand, were crowned with the Web 4.0 technology, and the artificial intelligence-based virtual reality atmospheres became the center of attention as the new phenomenon of digital. As far as the relevant perspective is concerned, it is possible to say that today's modernization standards are shaped within the framework of technology. While the parameters of the 'new generation world' are built on the digital plane, the 'new generation of people' generations develop specifically in the skills of this plane.

Description: Web teknolojilerinin hayatımıza entegre olmaya başlamasıyla küresel çaplı bir dönüşüm süreci tetiklenmiş ve geleneksel yaklaşımlar, milenyum çizgisinin geçmişte kalan yönü olarak dijital organizmalara evrilme trendinde bir yönelim içerisine girmişlerdir. Web 1.0 dönemi ile aktif hale gelen tek yönlü bilgi aktarımı süreci, Web 2.0 ile içerik paylaşımı’ ve ‘iş birliği’ yapabilme temelinde kök salmış; Web 3.0 ile ‘akıllı’ ve ‘bireyselleştirilmiş’ bir formda karakterize edilerek yapay zeka eksenli bir yön bulma arayışı içerisine girmiştir. Makine öğrenmesi, derin öğrenme ve doğal dil işleme algoritmalarındaki gelişmeler ise Web 4.0 teknolojisiyle taçlanmış ve yapay zeka tabanlı sanal gerçeklik atmosferleri, dijitalin yeni fenomeni olarak ilgi odağı haline gelmiştir. İlgili perspektiften hareketle; günümüz modernizasyon standartlarının teknoloji çerçevesinde şekil aldığını söyleyebiliriz. ‘Yeni nesil dünya’ parametreleri, dijital düzlem üzerine inşa edilirken ‘yeni nesil insan’ jenerasyonları ise bu düzlem becerileri özelinde gelişim göstermektedir. Covid 19 sonrası yaşanan süreçle birlikte bilginin, dijitalde yapılandığı ivme hız kazanmış ve teknoloji tabanlı pedagojik paradigmalar ön plana çıkmaya başlamıştır. Bu paradigmaların öğrenme ortamlarına yansımasıyla geleneksel sınıf atmosferleri algısında radikal değişikliklerin meydana geldiğini söylemek mümkündür. Dijital eğitim uygulamaları, yüz yüze eğitim metodunun bir alternatifi olmanın ötesinde pedagojinin başat unsuru olma yönünde hızla gelişim gösterirken öğretmen ve öğrenci arasındaki etkileşim süreci, çevrim içi merkezli öğretim tasarımları merceğinde desenlenme dönüşümü göstermektedir. Dil eğitimi sahası da ilgili entegrasyondan etkilenmekte ve yeni nesil dil becerileri, dijital yeterlikler ekseninde evrim geçirme haliyle karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Dolayısıyla yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi olgusu, yabancı dil olarak dijital Türkçe öğretimi çerçevesinde kavramsallaşmakta; bir başka deyişle teknoloji tabanlı beceriler odaklı örnek dil tanımlayıcılarıyla (illustrative descriptors) betimlenme eğilimi sergilemektedir. İlgili önem durumu, bu çalışmanın biçimlenmesine zemin hazırlamış ve Yabancı Dil Olarak Dijital Türkçe Öğretimi kitabı, teknolojik adaptasyonun getirdiği bir ihtiyacı karşılama güdüsüyle ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bağlamdan hareketle çalışmanın ortaya çıkış amacının; sanal ortamlarda web araçlarıyla uygulanacak yabancı dil öğretimine ilişkin dijital bir farkındalık kazandırmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında tanıtılan dijital uygulama araçlarının, her bölüm içeriğinin kendi temasına uygun olacak şekilde uygulama örnekleri ve etkinlikler üzerinden somutlaştırılması esas alınmıştır. Dolayısıyla çalışma sınırları çerçevesinde tanıtılan aynı dijital araçların, farklı bölüm metinlerinde farklı işlevlerine yönelik çeşitli özelliklerinin zengin örneklendirmeler aracılığıyla ön plana çıkartılmasına dikkat edilmiştir. İlgili düzlemde çalışmadan yararlanacak olan araştırmacı, eğitmen ve eğitmen adaylarına; dijital teknoloji araçlarının yabancı dil öğretiminde kullanımına ilişkin geniş bir perspektif sunmak temel ilke edinilmiştir. Çalışmada yer alan bölüm içeriklerinin belirli bir kompozisyon ve tutarlılık dahilinde sunulması adına farklı bölümlerde yer alan aynı dijital araçların birbirinden farkı işlev ve detaylı açıklamalarına ilişkin dipnotlar aracılığıyla köprüler oluşturularak bölümler arası bütünlük oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Yabancı Dil Olarak Dijital Türkçe Öğretimi kitabında yer verilen her bölüm içeriği, alan uzmanlarının görüşüne başvurularak literatüre katkı sağlayacak şekilde tasarlanması prensibiyle oluşturulmuştur. Bölüm içeriklerinde verilen teorik ve kuramsal çerçeveler, farklı literatür çalışmalarıyla desteklenmiş bilimsel alt yapıya dayalı bir zeminde aktarılması hedeflenmiştir. This evidence is then analyzed to help determine whether the cause of the fire was accidental or intentional. During the fire scene investigation, investigators may find evidence that could point to criminal activity, such as accelerants, damaged vehicles, and certain burn patterns. As a study aimed at developing new tools and techniques for interpreting, identifying, and analyzing evidence at the scene of a fire, this book will hopefully contribute to the improvement of fire research and help fill a gap in this field in our country.

Description: This volume is the result of the debates held at Ca’ Foscari University during the Iberismo(s) study day, aimed at discussing the ethical, theoretical and methodological limits of Iberian Studies and demonstrating their applications. Far from a unidirectional reading, the works gathered here explore the multiple aspects of Iberism, or rather ­Iberisms: different aspects such as the literary, cultural, economic and political ones are taken into account and interpreted on the basis of their plurality – since the diversity of actors, discourses, and contexts makes it impossible to outline a closed narrative. According to Claudio Guillén, “national literature is […] an institution that is not only insufficient, but also spurious and fraudulent”, hence the commitment to redefine this field of study. Moreover, its analytical perspective is associated with the ‘crisis of Hispanism’ as a ‘uninational’ and monolingual paradigm. Iberian Studies as such do not take root in a simple broadening of the object of research in order to give space – and thus a new location – to the more peripheral realities; it is rather a theoretical and methodological reformulation in constant development, as all the essays in this volume attest.

Description: The Mamluks (648-923/1250-1517), who ruled Egypt, Syria, and the Hijaz region, are considered to be one of the most important Muslim-Turkish states in Islamic history because they put an end to the Crusader threat in Syria and stopped the westward advance of the Mongols (Ilkhanids) who had destroyed the eastern part of the Islamic world. The Mamluks’ establishment of security and stability in their lands enabled the ulama, who were affected by the political turmoil in Andalusia and Anatolia, as well as central Iraq and Iran in the early 7th/13th century, to turn to the Egyptian-Sham region. In addition to the political stability they created, the Mamluks built many scientific institutions in cities such as Cairo, Damascus, Aleppo, and Jerusalem. They provided wide opportunities to scholars, making these cities the most important centers of knowledge. The rich scholarly environment in Egypt and Damascus, which attracted many scholars from various parts of the Islamic world, paved the way for the writing of many works in almost every field of Islamic sciences and the emergence of new and voluminous encyclopedic genres. Thus, an enormous amount of literature was created in fiqh, hadith, tafsīr, kalām, mysticism, philosophy, logic, qirāʾa, sīra, history, and tabāqat. The understanding and interpretation of this literature, which is the result of an unprecedented scholarly effort in Islamic history, requires the contribution of many researchers in different fields. As a result of this need, interest in the scholarly and cultural accumulation of the Mamluk period is increasing both in international academic circles and in our country. Although the number and quality of studies on the political history of the Mamluks are not yet at the desired level, some studies have been conducted in the Turkish literature. However, research on the ulama, scientific institutions, types of works, and the status of Islamic sciences during the Mamluk period is still in its infancy. To overcome this deficiency to some extent, the Institute of Islamic Studies at Istanbul University (then known as the Center for Islamic Studies at Istanbul University) organized a workshop titled Islamic Sciences in the Mamluk Period on 19-20 September 2019. Thus, it was aimed to evaluate the status of the studies on the ulama and Islamic sciences related to the Mamluk period, to propose new research topics in the areas of need, to ensure cooperation among those interested in this field, and to create a basis for future studies. At the end of this workshop, the need to organize an international meeting with wide participation in the scholarly tradition in the Mamluk period was expressed. For this purpose, an international symposium titled The Tradition of Knowledge in the Mamluk Period-I (13th and 14th Centuries) was organized on September 28-29, 2021, hosted by Istanbul University in cooperation with the Institute of Islamic Studies at Istanbul University and the Foundation for Research in Islamic Sciences (ISAV). In the symposium, many researchers made presentations on tafsīr, hadith, fiqh, historiography, philosophy, kalām, mysticism, culture-literature, ulama, and scientific institutions. This book was formed by revising some of the papers presented at the symposium during the publication phase. The full text of the relevant papers has been reviewed and turned into articles. The thematically re-planned book consists of seven chapters: Qurʾānic Sciences and Tafsīr, Fiqh Thought and Literature, Hanafi Fiqh and Hadith Studies, Kalām, History and Sīra Writing, Language and Literature, Scientific Institutions and Ulama. Description: Mısır, Suriye ve Hicaz bölgesine hâkim olan Memlükler (648-923/1250-1517) Suriye topraklarındaki Haçlı tehdidine son vermeleri ve İslâm dünyasının doğusunu tahrip eden Moğolların (İlhanlılar) batıya doğru ilerleyişlerini durdurmaları sebebiyle İslâm tarihindeki en önemli Müslüman-Türk devletlerinden birisi sayılmaktadır. Memlüklerin hâkim oldukları topraklarda güven ve istikrar temin etmeleri, 7./13. asrın başlarında Endülüs ve Anadolu coğrafyası ile merkezî Irak ve İran topraklarında yaşanan siyasi karmaşa ortamından etkilenen ulemanın Mısır-Şam bölgesine yönelmesini sağlamıştır. Memlükler oluşturdukları siyasi istikrarın yanında Kahire, Dımaşk, Halep ve Kudüs gibi şehirlerde inşa ettikleri çok sayıda ilim kurumu ve ulemaya sundukları geniş imkânlarla bu şehirlerin en önemli ilim merkezleri haline gelmesini sağlamışlardır. Bu vesileyle İslâm dünyasının çeşitli bölgelerinden çok sayıda âlimin yöneldiği Mısır ve Şam şehirlerinde oluşan zengin ilmî ortam, İslâmî ilimlerin hemen her sahasında pek çok eserin kaleme alınmasına, aynı zamanda yeni ve hacimli ansiklopedik tarzda telif türlerinin ortaya çıkmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Böylece fıkıh, hadis, tefsir, kelâm, tasavvuf, felsefe, mantık, kıraat, siyer, tarih ve tabakat ilimlerinde muazzam bir literatür oluşmuştur. İslâm tarihinde eşine az rastlanan bir ilmî mesainin sonucu olarak ortaya konan bu literatürün anlaşılması ve yorumlanması farklı alanlarda pek çok araştırmacının katkısına ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu ihtiyacın bir sonucu olarak Memlükler dönemindeki ilmî ve kültürel birikime yönelik ilgi gerek uluslararası akademik çevrelerde gerekse ülkemizde giderek artmaktadır. Memlüklerin siyasi tarihine dair sayısı ve niteliği henüz arzulanan seviyede olmamakla birlikte Türkçe literatürde bazı çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Ancak Memlükler döneminde ulema, ilim kurumları, telif eser türleri ve İslâmî ilimlerin durumu hakkındaki araştırmalar henüz başlangıç düzeyindedir. Bu konudaki eksikliğin bir nebze dahi olsa giderilmesi amacıyla İstanbul Üniversitesi İslâm Tetkikleri Enstitüsü (o zamanki ismiyle İstanbul Üniversitesi İslam Araştırmaları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi) tarafından 19-20 Eylül 2019 tarihlerinde Memlükler Döneminde İslâmî İlimler adıyla bir çalıştay düzenlenmiştir. Yüzyıllar) adıyla uluslararası sempozyum tertip edilmiştir. Description: Su ürünlerinin de içinde bulunduğu gıdalar genel anlamıyla canlıların gereksinim duyduğu enerjiyi sağlayan maddeler olarak bilinse de gıda; gelişmiş ülkelerde “sağlık-diyet”, geri kalmış ülkelerde ise “hayat-ölüm” ilişkisinin göstergesidir. Endüstrileşmiş ülkelerdeki gıda kökenli hastalıkların başlıca nedeni yanlış veya eksik uygulanan işleme teknikleri, nakliye, depolama ve hijyen/sanitasyon problemlerinden kaynaklandığı bilinmektedir. Gıdalarda patojen/saprofit mikroorganizmalar ve kimyasal etkenler kalite kayıplarına ve bozulmalara yol açabileceği gibi sağlık sorunları yaratarak bireyin ve toplumun geleceğini de etkileyebilmektedir. Bu sorunlar özellikle son yıllarda “Gıda Güvenliği” teriminin toplum açısından önem kazanmasına neden olmuştur. Kalite ile ilgili olarak belirlenen hedeflere ve standartlara ulaşmak için uygulanan teknikler ve yapılan faaliyetleri içeren kalite kontrol ve işletmelerin devamlılıkları açısından dikkat etmeleri gereken en önemli konulardan birisidir. Kalite tüketici açısından ise, beklentileri karşılama düzeyi, alınan ürünün ilgili standartlara ve yönetmeliklere uygunluğudur. Su ürünlerinde kalite kontrol; tüketici gıda güvenliği ve standartlara uyumluluk yönünden durumunun belirlendiği duyusal, fiziksel, kimyasal ve mikrobiyolojik analizlerin bütünlüğü ile oluşmaktadır. Su ürünlerinde uygulanacak olan gıda güvenliği ve kalite kontrol ile uygulamaları balıkçılık/hasat süreciyle başlayıp, nakliye, satış, depolama, işleme prosesleri ve son tüketiciye ulaşıncaya kadar ki tüm aşamaları kapsamaktadır. Bu süreç/kurallar pek çok kişi ve kuruluşu ilgilendirdiğinden, “Su Ürünlerinde Gıda Güvenliği ve Kalite Kontrol” konusunu kapsamlı olarak anlatan bir kaynağa ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Description: İstanbul Üniversitesi Yayınları’nın çağrısı üzerine hazırladığımız ve Cumhuriyetin 100.yılına armağan etmek istediğimiz bu küçük çalışmamızı hatırat, anılar ve bu alandaki yazınla ilgilenen meslektaşlarımızın ve meraklı okurların ilgisine sunuyoruz. Toplumsal hafıza ve hafızanın üretimi, siyaseti üzerine düşünürken geç Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet dönemi anılarını uzun zamandır okuyor ve bu konu üzerinde çalışıyorduk. Bu kapsamda çeşitli alanlara yayılmış anıları inceledik: erkekler ve kadınlar tarafından kaleme alınmış, farklı toplumsal grupların deneyimlerini yansıtan anıların yanı sıra tematik olarak da İstanbul, belirli siyasal olaylar ve meslek gruplarının anılarını eleştirel bir gözle okuduk, tartıştık. Toplumsal hiyerarşinin en üstünde yer alan kişilerin, devlet adamı, asker, diplomat, siyasetçi ve edebiyatçı anılarının yanı sıra farklı toplumsal sınıflara mensup insanların anılarını okurken farklı din, dil ve etnik gruplardan kişilerin kendilerini nasıl ifade ettiğini izlemeye çalıştık. Bu küçük çalışmamızda öncelikle hatırat/anı türünü, yaşam öyküsü anlatılarını tarihsel geçmiş, erken ve modern örnekler, batı ve batı dışı ülkelerdeki ilgili yazın ışığında gözden geçirdik. Cumhuriyet Türkiye’sini, dönemler, gelişmeler ve sorunlarını, öne çıkan temaları, tartışma ve modaları, değişen mekânı geç Osmanlı döneminden başlayarak anılar yardımıyla bir kez daha okuyabileceğimizi hatırlatmak istedik. Geç Osmanlı dönemi derken 1908 ve sonrasını esas almak, Büyük Savaş ve Cumhuriyetin kuruluşunu, İstanbul, İzmir ve Ankara’da yaşayan ve anıları yayınlanmış aydınlar, sanatçı ve siyasetçiler, gazeteciler, anılarını kaleme almış sıradan insanların gözünden izlemek bize önemli ve öğretici geliyor. Bu insanların kişisel ve grupsal anlatıları, aile deneyimleri bize tarihi daha insani, daha içeriden, yaşayanların tecrübesiyle ete kemiğe büründürüyor, daha anlaşılır kılıyor. Bunu en iyi yapabileceğimiz aracın kişilerin yaşam öyküsü anlatıları ve anıları olduğunu düşünüyoruz. Anılarını yazanların aile öykülerinden başlayarak geçmişlerini nasıl ele aldıkları, dönemleri ve deneyimlerini nasıl değerlendirdikleri, yorumladıkları tarih ve siyaset açısından kıymeti çoğu kez bilinmeyen bir önem ve değer taşıyor. Elbette anıları bir tarihsel belge olarak kullanmak, gerçekliğe referans olarak bakmak çeşitli sorunlar taşıyor. Bilimsel tarih çalışmaları ile hafıza, anılar ve anlatılar arasında gidip gelen, edebi türlere yakın duran, bireysel, düşünsel farklılıklar, kırılmalar, tercihler ve yorum farklılıkları içeren bir tür, yaşam öyküsü anlatıları. Çalışmamızın amaçları arasında tarih yazımı ile bu türden kişisel anlatıların, hayat öyküleri ve anıların niteliği üzerine düşünmek ve çalışmak da yer aldı. Bu anlamda yöntem üzerine de düşündük ve bu konuya da çalışmamızda değindik. Tüm eksiklikleri, görüş ve deneyim farklılıkları ve yazılış amaçlarına bağlı olarak kırılmış merceklerden bakış açılarına karşın anıların ülkemizin yakın tarihine, Cumhuriyet tarihine ışık tutacak nitelikte ve canlılıkta olduklarını düşüncesiyle tarihi bir de yaşayanların gözünden, onlar açısından, gerçek insanların deneyimleri ışığında düşünmek ve tartışmakta yarar olduğunu iddia ediyoruz. Çalışmamızın özgün yanlarından en önemlisi bu konuda bir bibliyografya hazırlamış olmamız. Bibliyografya çalışmasının bu alanda araştırma yapan meslektaşlarımıza, öğrencilerimize, anı okurlarına, konuyla ilgili herkese yararlı olmasını umuyoruz.

Description: Eine Teilung des deutschen Marktgebietes würde die Marktwerte erneuerbarer Energien beeinflussen. Wind und Photovoltaik (PV) im Süden Deutschlands würden an Wert gewinnen, während Erneuerbare im Norden Erlöse einbüßen würden. Bei einer auch zukünftig stärkeren Konzentration von erneuerbaren Energien im Norden bedeutet dies insgesamt einen höheren Förderbedarf für PV – Wind wäre trotz niedriger Marktwerte in den meisten Regionen wirtschaftlich. Wenn eine regionale Steuerung erreicht werden soll, müsste die auszuzahlende Förderung für neue PV-Anlagen anhand des zonenübergreifenden Referenzmarktwertes berechnet werden. Durchschnittliche Börsenstrompreise würden durch eine Gebotszonenteilung im Süden Deutschlands leicht angehoben und im Norden gesenkt, die Effekte auf Endkundenpreise und damit verbundene Anreize zur Standortwahl von Industrieunternehmen sind allerdings als gering einzuschätzen.

Description: Die Energiewende sorgt für einen Paradigmenwechsel von einem grundlastbasierten zu einem flexiblen Stromsystem. Die zentralen Treiber für den zunehmenden Flexibilitätsbedarf sind die Stromerzeugung durch Wind und Sonne sowie die weiterhin bestehende unflexible Stromnachfrage, die gedeckt werden muss. Die vorliegende Studie analysiert, wie im Zeitverlauf bis zum Jahr 2045 der Flexibilitätsbedarf zunimmt und wie die Betriebsweisen der verschiedenen Technologien sich anpassen können. In der Studie wird auf das Energiesystemmodell REMod zurückgegriffen, mit dem eine Analyse über die intersektorale Flexibilität bis zum Jahr 2045 möglich ist. Für kurzfristige Flexibilität können in dieser Betrachtung zum Beispiel Batterien sowie Stromimporte und -exporte eingesetzt werden. Durch die Sektorenkopplung kann bei der Wärmebereitstellung in Gebäuden ebenfalls ein erheblich angepasstes Lastmanagement erfolgen. Ein höherer Anteil an Flexibilität kann jedoch durch Stromaufnahme in Elektrolyseanlagen und die Nutzung von Power-to-X-Kraftstoffen erfolgen. So können während längerer Dunkelflauten flexible Backup-Gasturbinen eingesetzt werden, um die Versorgungssicherheit zu gewährleisten. Um die notwendige Integration der Flexibilitäts-Technologien in den verschiedenen Märkten (insbesondere Strommarkt) und Sektoren voranzutreiben, müssen technische Voraussetzung, Marktregeln sowie Regulatorik in Bezug auf Bau und Betrieb so angepasst werden, dass die Technologien ihr Flexibilitätspotential bestmöglich ausspielen können.

Description: Mit steigendem Anteil fluktuierender Erneuerbarer Energien im Stromsystem steigt auch der Bedarf an steuerbaren Kapazitäten, die Stromangebot und -nachfrage ausgleichen können, so genannte Flexibilitätstechnologien. In dieser Analyse wird der Nutzen von zehn verschiedenen Technologien, die Flexibilität bereitstellen können, für das deutsche Stromsystem im Jahr 2030 ermittelt. Die Nutzenanalyse macht deutlich, dass die Verschiebung von großen Energiemengen über einen längeren Zeitraum (saisonaler Ausgleich) den höchsten spezifischen Nutzen erreicht. Eine Schlüsseltechnologie für das Jahr 2030 sind daher Langzeitspeicher mit großen Speichervolumen, zum Beispiel in Form von Wasserstoff-Kavernenspeichern. Das Fehlen einer hierfür geeigneten Technologie würde zu hohen Effizienzverlusten führen. Die zweite Schlüsseltechnologie ist die steuerbare Leistung von Power-to-Heat1 in Wärmenetzen der allgemeinen Versorgung, die für den täglichen Ausgleich zwischen Nachfrage und erneuerbarer Erzeugung eingesetzt wird. Hier können allerdings auch andere nachfrageseitige Flexibilitäten eine ähnliche Funktion für das Stromsystem übernehmen. Die Analyse zeigt auch, dass die Erschließung der hier betrachteten Flexibilitätstechnologien, zum Beispiel durch den Abbau von regulatorischen Hemmnissen, bis zum Jahr 2030 für das Stromsystem von hoher Relevanz ist. Auch über die angenommenen Potentialgrenzen hinaus bieten insbesondere nachfrageseitige Flexibilitätstechnologien noch einen positiven Nutzen. Eine technologieoffene, marktbasierte Lösung zur Einbindung dieser Flexibilitäten könnte die unterschiedlichen Charakteristika, Nutzenniveaus sowie sich ändernde Rahmenbedingungen effizient berücksichtigen.

Description: Die schnelle und umfassende Emissionsminderung in der Energie- und Kreislaufwirtschaft ist der Schlüssel für die Begrenzung der Erderwärmung auf unter 2 °C. In Deutschland werden entsprechende Politiken seit den 1990er-Jahren verfolgt, allerdings erst in jüngster Vergangenheit mit dem notwendigen Nachdruck und der notwendigen Orientierung hin zu mehr Marktmechanismen. Wesentliche Handlungsfelder sind Energieeinsparung und erhöhte Energieeffizienz, Umstieg auf erneuerbare Energien, Bepreisung von Klimagasen sowie eine Reduzierung und Schließung der Stoffkreisläufe. In allen Handlungsfeldern sind Grundlagen geschaffen, es bleibt jedoch der Großteil des Weges noch zu gehen, um Klimaneutralität zu erreichen. Für einen schnellen Fortschritt spielen neben der Überwindung der technischen, ökonomischen und organisatorischen Herausforderungen auch Verteilungsfragen und die Einbettung in internationale Maßnahmen eine zunehmende Rolle.

Description: Im Kopernikus-Projekt Ariadne wurden zufällig ausgewählte Bürgerinnen und Bürger aus ganz Deutschland in einem Forschungs- und Lernprozess zur Verkehrs- und Stromwende beteiligt. Dieser Lernprozess eröffnete neue Begegnungs- und Reflexionsräume, in denen Forschende und Bürger:innen über verschiedene Politikoptionen zur Energie- und Verkehrswende diskutieren konnten.

Description: Das Einzugsgebiet der Spree ist hydrologisch und wasserwirtschaftlich stark von der Entwicklung von Braunkohleförderung und –verstromung, verbunden mit Grundwasserabsenkungen, Versickerungsverlusten, Sümpfungswassereinleitungen, Kühlwassernutzung in thermischen Kraftwerken sowie Flutung ehemaliger Tagebaue, einem komplexen wasserwirtschaftlichen System und einem kontinentalen Klima geprägt. Im Projekt GLOWA Elbe wurden für das Gebiet Szenarien des globalen Wandels für den Zeitraum 2003 bis 2052 analysiert. Im Jahre 2004 war es das Ergebnis, dass das gegenwärtige System der Wasserbewirtschaftung die Folgen des angenommenen Klimawandels nicht ausgleichen kann. Nach Ablauf der ersten 20 Jahre des Simulationszeitraumes 2003 bis 2022 werden in diesem Artikel die in GLOWA Elbe und weiteren Projekten erzeugten Ergebnisse sowie die genutzten Eingangsdaten, Szenarien und Modelle hinsichtlich ihrer Übereinstimmung mit beobachteten Abflüssen bzw. Witterungsverlauf analysiert. Es zeigt sich, dass die in den Projekten genutzten Bergbauszenarien der Entwicklung bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt entsprechen, während die Szenarien zur klimatischen Entwicklung zum Teil deutlich von den Beobachtungen abweichen. Letzteres hat erhebliche Konsequenzen für die simulierten Abflüsse. Weiterhin kann gezeigt werden, dass auch in stark anthropogen überprägten Flusseinzugsgebieten die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels unter Nutzung hydrologischer und wasserwirtschaftlicher Modelle zuverlässig abgeschätzt werden können, wobei insbesondere die genutzten Klimaszenarien/-modelle eine erhebliche Unsicherheit hervorrufen. Deswegen ist es unabdingbar, in entsprechenden Klimafolgenstudien Eingangsdaten diverser Klimaszenarien/-modelle zu nutzen und die gesamte Bandbreite der hydrologischen/wasserwirtschaftlichen Ergebnisse darzustellen.

In den 10 Must-Knows aus der Biodiversitätsforschung 2024 haben 64 Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler ihre fundierten und vielseitigen Erkenntnisse und Empfehlungen aus den 10MustKnows22 weiterentwickelt. Die zehn ausgewählten Schlüsselbereiche des Erde-Mensch-Systems werden inhaltlich durch relevante Publikationen von 2022 und 2023 ergänzt und mit den im Dezember 2022 verabschiedeten 23 globalen Zielen des Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) verknüpft. Den Autorinnen und Autoren ist bewusst, dass die kommenden sechs Jahre bis 2030 wesentlich sind, um mittel- und langfristig ein ökologisch nachhaltiges und sozial gerechtes Leben auf unserer Erde zu erreichen. Mit den 10MustKnows24 möchten sie durch wissenschaftlich gesicherte Empfehlungen für Politik und Gesellschaft ihren aktiven Beitrag leisten, um die sozial-ökologische Transformation zu beschleunigen.

Description: Wohngebäude sind für 11 % der Treibhausgasemissionen in Deutschland direkt verantwortlich und für bis zu 40 %, wenn Stromverbrauch mit einbezogen wird. Um die Klimaziele gemäß dem Bundes-Klimaschutzgesetz zu erreichen, ist ein höheres Ambitionsniveau der klimapolitischen Maßnahmen in diesem Sektor erforderlich. Dieser Bericht analysiert die Governance der Evaluierungsprozesse von Maßnahmen im deutschen Gebäudesektor. Wir analysieren die Rollen der beteiligten Akteure, das institutionelle Gefüge sowie die angewandten Metriken und Methoden der Evaluierungen.

Description: Die Entscheidung für den Austausch oder Ersatz eines Heizsystems ist eine, die für mehr als ein Jahrzehnt getroffen wird. Oftmals berücksichtigen Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher dabei vor allem die einmal anfallende Einbau-Investition. Die Kosten über den gesamten Lebenszyklus sind deutlich schwerer zu ermitteln und unsicher, daher werden sie häufig zu wenig in die finanzielle Überlegung mit einbezogen. In einer neuen Analyse haben Ariadne-Forschende berechnet, wie hoch unterm Strich die Kosten für verschiedene Heiztechniken in bestehenden Wohngebäuden über einen Zeitraum von 20 Jahren angesichts zukünftiger Energieträgerpreise sowie der zu erwartenden CO2-Preisentwicklung sind.

Description: Die Änderungen wichtiger Klimakenngrößen wie Temperatur und Niederschlag sowie der Konzentration von Spurengasen in der Atmosphäre beeinflussen unmittelbar physiologische Prozesse in Kulturpflanzen und damit die Ernte und die Landwirtschaft insgesamt. Zudem wirken sich Klimaänderungen indirekt auf die Pflanzenproduktion aus, indem sie strukturelle und funktionelle Eigenschaften von Agrarökosystemen verändern. Zu erwarten sind sowohl negative als auch positive Konsequenzen für die deutsche Landwirtschaft. Betrachtet werden neben direkten Auswirkungen auch mögliche Folgen für Schadorganismen und Nutztiere sowie die zu erwartende Entwicklung der Agrarproduktion. Entscheidend dafür, wie diese Effekte ausfallen, sind zum einen die Art und Intensität der Klimaveränderungen selbst, zum anderen die Empfindlichkeit der jeweils betrachteten Produktionssysteme und die Implementierung von Anpassungsmaßnahmen, mit deren Hilfe sich die Folgen des Klimawandels nutzen, vermeiden oder mildern lassen.

Description: Der Wissenschaftszweig der Klimaattribution analysiert den Zusammenhang zwischen beobachteten Aspekten des Klimas und menschlichen Klimaeinflussfaktoren. Mit formalen, statistisch sorgfältigen Nachweis- und Attributionsmethoden sind globale Veränderungen im Klima unzweifelhaft nachgewiesen und erhöhten Treibhausgaskonzentrationen zugeordnet. Auch auf kontinentaler und nationaler Ebene ist dieser Nachweis für Änderungen in Temperaturmitteln sowie -extremen und manchen Niederschlagsindizes erbracht. Mit verwandten Methoden, vor allem denen der probabilistischen Ereignisattribution, werden beobachtete Ereignisse wie eine einzelne Hitzewelle oder ein einzelner Sturm untersucht. Dabei wird typischerweise quantifiziert, ob und wie sich die Auftrittswahrscheinlichkeit der Ereignisse durch den menschengemachten Klimawandel geändert hat. Attributionsergebnisse können Bewusstsein für den Klimawandel schaffen und für Fragen der Klimagerechtigkeit und möglicher Entschädigungen für Klimafolgen relevant sein.

Description: In der Vergangenheit haben sich Wälder an die geringen Veränderungen des am Wuchsort herrschenden Klimas angepasst. Die gegenwärtige Geschwindigkeit des Klimawandels in Verbindung mit der aktuellen Verteilung der Baumarten überfordert jedoch die natürliche Anpassungsfähigkeit. Vegetationszonen, Verbreitungsgebiete der Baumarten und Artzusammensetzung der Wälder verschieben sich. Das Kapitel charakterisiert die Folgen, die der Klimawandel für die Wälder mit sich bringt, stellt Schadfaktoren im Einzelnen vor und schildert die Auswirkungen auf die Produktivität. Darüber hinaus wird detailliert auf die Rolle des Waldes als Kohlenstoffspeicher eingegangen, denn Wälder produzieren nicht nur den nachwachsenden Rohstoff Holz, sondern sie leisten auch viel für die Umwelt und wirken ausgleichend auf das Klima. Auch mögliche Anpassungsoptionen werden dargestellt.

Description: Hochwasser in Flussgebieten werden in lokale und plötzliche Sturzfluten in kleinen Gebieten und in Hochwasser an größeren Flüssen unterschieden. Für verschiedene Hochwasserindikatoren und Flusseinzugsgebiete ergeben sich erhebliche Unterschiede, wobei sowohl überwiegend aus Regen als auch überwiegend aus Schmelzwasser gespeiste Hochwasserereignisse betrachtet werden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit finden Hochwasserereignisse in den großen Flussgebieten von Rhein, Donau, Elbe, Weser und Ems in Deutschland sowie die Entwicklung von Sturzfluten infolge von Extremniederschlägen kurzer Dauer, wobei die Beobachtungen und Trends zu Modellierungsergebnissen in Beziehung gesetzt werden. Auch die Notwendigkeit von Anpassungsmaßnahmen wird diskutiert.

Die vorbereitenden, auslösenden und kontrollierenden Faktoren werden in unterschiedlichster Weise vom Klimawandel beeinflusst. Der Beitrag beschreibt verschiedene Arten von Dürren und damit verbundene Folgen und Risiken. Es wird diskutiert, inwieweit Waldbrände tatsächlich ausschließlich dem Klimawandel zuzuschreiben sind, wie sich der Trend bei Waldbränden in der Vergangenheit darstellt und wie sich der Klimawandel in Zukunft auf die Häufigkeit von Waldbränden auswirken könnte.

Description: Wasser ist für den Menschen und seine Umwelt von zentraler Bedeutung. Seine jahreszeitliche Verfügbarkeit prägt Ökosysteme wie auch Kulturen und Gesellschaften. Die Herausforderung, zu viel, zu wenig oder zu schmutziges Wasser zu bewältigen, begleitet den Menschen seit Jahrtausenden. Mit der globalen Klimaänderung verändert sich auch der Wasserkreislauf, insbesondere die Quelle erneuerbaren Süßwassers, nämlich der Niederschlag. Grund ist die mit der globalen Erwärmung einhergehende Intensivierung des Wasserkreislaufs, die zu vergrößerten atmosphärischen Energieumsätzen führt. Aufgrund der Wechselwirkung von Atmosphärendynamik und Landoberflächen sind so in manchen Regionen heftigere Niederschläge, in anderen Regionen aber entgegengesetzte Extreme, wie längere und häufigere Trockenperioden und Dürren, möglich. Die Abschätzung der zukünftigen räumlichen und zeitlichen Verteilung der terrestrischen Wasserverfügbarkeit gehört zu den zentralen wissenschaftlichen Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts.

Description: Subventionen im Verkehr, wie das Diesel- oder Dienstwagenprivileg, bedeuten negative CO2-Preise in Höhe von minus 70 bis zu minus 690 Euro pro Tonne CO2 und schwächen die Wirkungsweise der CO2-Bepreisung als wichtiges Instrument der Klimapolitik. Das zeigen Forschende des vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) geförderten Kopernikus-Projekts Ariadne in einer neuen Studie. Die Ariadne-Berechnungen unterstreichen, dass Deutschlands derzeitiges Steuer- und Abgabesystem im Verkehrssektor noch stark auf die Nutzung fossiler Energieträger ausgerichtet ist und so die Erreichung der deutschen Klimaziele erschwert.

Description: What role do socio-demographic and local environmental factors play in the perception of climate change? The article of Landwehr et al. to be discussed here presents interdisciplinary findings on this question, which are particularly interesting regarding the group of farmers. However, the findings also raise questions about the degree of abstraction of climate perception, the rigidity of social identity, the role of the media and the strategy of targeting. In the context of recent “farmer protests” and populist narratives, the author of this response concludes that future interdisciplinary research projects on climate perceptions should also analyse political variables and the relevance of populist discourses.

Der hier besprochene Artikel von Landwehr et al. stellt interdisziplinäre Befunde zu dieser Frage vor, die besonders mit Blick auf die Gruppe der Landwirt(inn)e(n) interessant sind. Die Befunde werfen aber auch Fragen zum Abstraktionsgrad der Klimawahrnehmung, der Rigidität sozialer Identität, der Rolle der Medien und der Zielgruppenstrategie auf. Im Kontext der jüngsten ,,Bauernproteste“ und populistischer Narrative folgert der Autor dieser Reaktion, dass in künftigen interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekten zur Klimawahrnehmung auch politische Variablen und die Relevanz populistischer Diskurse untersucht werden sollten.

Description: Göl, akarsu ve denizler yüzyılları aşan süreden beri çoğunluğu insan kaynaklı olmak üzere çeşitli kirleticilerin baskısı altında bulunmaktadırlar. Özellikle endüstriyel üretimin hız kazandığı 1900’lü yılların ortalarından itibaren bu baskılar daha da artmış birçok su kaynağı kullanılamaz hale gelmiştir. Su kalitesindeki bozulmalar ve iklimsel değişim nedeniyle çok sayıda tür ortadan kalkmış, ya da tükenme noktasına gelmiştir. Ülkemizde de benzer çevresel sorunlar 1950’li yıllardan itibaren görülmeye başlanmıştır. Başta sanayi üretiminin büyük bir kısmının gerçekleştiği Marmara Bölgesindeki deniz ve içsu kaynakları olmak üzere birçok su kaynağı sanayi atıkları, evsel atıklar ve tarımsal kirleticiler ile baş başa bırakılmıştır. Söz konusu kirleticiler nedeniyle en büyük su kalitesi kaybına uğrayan alanların başında ise Marmara Denizi gelmektedir. Marmara Denizi havzası başta ülkemizin en büyük şehri olan İstanbul olmak üzere en büyük şehirlerini barındıran bir iç deniz konumundadır. Göreceli olarak küçük bir alan olmasına rağmen havzada ülke nüfusunun yaklaşık 1/3’ü yaşamaktadır. Havzadaki aşırı nüfus artışı ve kontrolsüz yapılaşma özellikle Marmara Denizi üzerinde büyük bir baskı oluşturmuştur. Uzun yıllar süresince arıtılmadan ya da sadece ön arıtıma tabi tutularak Marmara Denizine verilen atıklar denizin taşıma kapasitesini aşmış, bu nedenle denizde yaşayan birçok canlı türü tamamen ortadan kaybolmuştur. Hatta aşırı kirlenme nedeniyle Marmara Denizi’nin “Doğu Körfez” bölümü uzun yılardan beri balıkçılığa kapatılmıştır. Son zamanlarda Marmara Denizinde ortaya çıkan en önemli ekolojik sorunlardan bir tanesi de yaklaşık 6 ay süren müsilaj artışıdır. Müsilaj Ocak 2021 de başlayıp Haziran 2021’e kadar devam etmiştir. Müsilaj artışının 6 ay gibi uzun bir süre devam etmesi, büyük bir alanda habitat kayıpları yaratması, ekolojik tahribat kadar ekonomik kayıplara neden olması, balıkçılık dahil birçok ekosistem hizmetlerini etkilemesi nedeniyle dünya literatürüne girmiştir. İstanbul Üniversitesi olarak böylesine önemli ekolojik sorunu detaylı bir şekilde araştırmak, sonuçlarını ortaya koymanın gerekliliğine inanarak sadece Marmara Denizi’nde ortaya çıkan müsilaj sorunu ile ilgili çalışmaların yer aldığı 13 bölümden oluşan kitap yayınlamaya karar verdik. Deniz araştırmaları konusunda yaklaşık 80 yıllık deneyime sahip İstanbul Üniversitesinin yayınladığı bu eserin deniz bilimcilere ve karar vericilere başucu kaynağı olmasını diliyoruz.

These orders are seen from the perspective of various methodological orders of the last few decades, developed in the area of postmodern literary studies. The conclusions emerging from these are examined from the angle of analytical utility of selected solutions. The study is successful at depicting the current state of the debates on the theory of literature and the dynamics of phenomena observed in the field of contemporary literature. It combines an in-depth theoretical analysis with sophisticated interpretations of the texts. Therefore, it skilfully transports theoretical discussions on to a concrete level. Description: Turkic World studies seem to be a topic that attracts scientific attention day by day. The continuous increase in cooperation, rapprochement, and mobility between Turkish-speaking countries and communities since 1991 might be shown as the main dynamic behind this interest. The richness of the Turkic Republics in terms of natural resources, their location on the energy and transportation corridors, the change of the balances in the Caucasus with the Second Karabakh War in 2020, and the transition of the Turkic Council from a cooperation organization to an interstate organization in 2021 under the name of the "Organization of Turkic States" also accelerate the work of the Turkic World. In the meantime, the popularization of some geopolitical determinations and predictions in the context of scientific interest in the region can be shown as an important factor. Similar to the rise of Europe in the industrial age, we can talk about the rise of Asia in the information age. The sources of political and economic power are shifting to Asian geopolitics and this process continues to strengthen. Such analyses and predictions, which bring to the agenda that in the 2050s, Asia will regain its former central position also encourage academic interest in Central Asia. This book is the product of the goal of creating an original work for the Turkish World with gap-filling parameters and process analyses determined by a meticulous preliminary study in the light of the mentioned background. In this direction, three basic perspectives such as the effort to determine the capacities of the countries with comparative analyses, to look at the Turkish World from the perspective of problems, and to embody the Turkish World based on the community, autonomous region, and country sections dominate the work. With comparative analyses, it has been tried to embody the capacities of the countries within the parameters such as sustainable development potential, transportation systems, scientific performance, evolution in the political system, education system, and values of education. On the other hand, the crises affecting the Turkic World were discussed with the analysis of Karabakh, which is the main crisis, and the Russia-Ukraine War, which is the current crisis. On the other hand, the analysis of the thirty-year process in the Turkish World, starting from the scales of the community, autonomous region, and country, was carried out through the examples of Georgia, Tatarstan, and Uzbekistan.

Türk Cumhuriyetlerinin doğal kaynaklar bakımından zengin olması, aynı zamanda enerji ve ulaşım koridorları üzerinde yer almaları, 2020’deki İkinci Karabağ Savaşıyla Kafkasya’daki dengelerin değişmesi ve Türk Konseyi’nin 2021 yılında “Türk Devletleri Teşkilatı” adını alarak bir iş birliği örgütünden devletlerarası teşkilata geçiş süreci içine girmesi gibi gelişmeler de Türk Dünyası çalışmalarına ivme kazandırmaktadır. Bu arada bölgeye olan bilimsel ilgi bağlamında bazı jeopolitik tespit ve öngörülerin popülerleşmesinden de bahsedilebilir. Buna göre sanayi çağında Avrupa’nın yükselişine benzer bir şekilde bilgi çağında da Asya’nın yükselişi söz konusudur. Description: Through an intelligent and sharp description of the Irvine School of Critical Theory, Ewa Bobrowska’s book significantly expands the knowledge about post-structuralist critical thinking that has dominated the Western humanities in the last quarter of a century. While the achievements of Derrida, Lyotard, Iser, as well as Jameson, Joseph Hillis Miller, Greenblatt, and Dominick LaCapra are well known in Polish critical thought, the interdisciplinary project called the Irvine School has not yet been systematically and competently described. . . . The unusual dispositions of the author, who is an English philologist, philosopher, art historian, and an active artist, allow her to carry out all dimensions of the analysis, including critical discourse, philosophical reasoning, and an intellectual examination of a work of art. Ewa Bobrowska’s book can be read in several ways: as a guide to contemporary (mainly American) art that requires participation, and as a guide to contemporary (mainly postmodern) philosophy while visualising some, even very abstract, statements. These two diverse fields of contemporary art discourse and philosophy meet in this work and illuminate each other, giving the reader an extraordinary opportunity to understand the contemporary world of images and ideas. What is particularly worth emphasising is the part of the work that refers to ethical threads: it shows a little-known part of contemporary philosophy and, at the same time, the author’s extraordinary sensitivity. Hatta aşırı kirlenme nedeniyle Marmara Denizi’nin “Doğu Körfez” bölümü uzun yılardan beri balıkçılığa kapatılmıştır. Son zamanlarda Marmara Denizinde ortaya çıkan en önemli ekolojik sorunlardan bir tanesi de yaklaşık 6 ay süren müsilaj artışıdır. Müsilaj Ocak 2021 de başlayıp Haziran 2021’e kadar devam etmiştir. Müsilaj artışının 6 ay gibi uzun bir süre devam etmesi, büyük bir alanda habitat kayıpları yaratması, ekolojik tahribat kadar ekonomik kayıplara neden olması, balıkçılık dahil birçok ekosistem hizmetlerini etkilemesi nedeniyle dünya literatürüne girmiştir. İstanbul Üniversitesi olarak böylesine önemli ekolojik sorunu detaylı bir şekilde araştırmak, sonuçlarını ortaya koymanın gerekliliğine inanarak sadece Marmara Denizi’nde ortaya çıkan müsilaj sorunu ile ilgili çalışmaların yer aldığı 13 bölümden oluşan kitap yayınlamaya karar verdik. Deniz araştırmaları konusunda yaklaşık 80 yıllık deneyime sahip İstanbul Üniversitesinin yayınladığı bu eserin deniz bilimcilere ve karar vericilere başucu kaynağı olmasını diliyoruz.

Description: Since COVID-19 entered our lives, it has affected our social life, our working life, our lifestyle, our patient care services, our research, and even our behavioral style. Moreover, this epidemic has affected not only one country but also all countries of the world at the same time and with a similar intensity. Almost the health systems of the countries were tested with a test consisting of the same questions. During the pandemic, many unknown equations were intertwined. We had so many unknowns at the beginning of the epidemic. We did not yet clearly know how we approached patients, how to treat them, and what drugs should be given. Over the past two years, much research and many experiences have taught us how to behave against the disease. During the pandemic, we learned by experience how damaging information pollution can be. The epidemic also showed us the vaccine wars. We have seen how valuable the vaccines we use to get rid of the epidemic are, how developed countries have entered vaccine wars, and the change in the dynamics of the epidemic with vaccination. The years 2020-2022 will be defined as the epidemic years. During this epidemic, we saw that it was precious for physicians to get the correct information. This source has been tried to be created thanks to the fact that it has written down the experiences gained by experiencing this epidemic in person. Üstelik bu öyle bir salgın ki sadece bir ülkede değil, bütün dünya ülkelerinde aynı zamanda ve benzer yoğunlukta etkilendi. Adeta ülkelerin sağlık sistemleri aynı sorulardan oluşan bir sınavla sınandı. Salgın sırasında birçok bilinmeyen denklem iç içe idi. Salgın başında o kadar çok bilinmeyenimiz vardı ki. Hastalara nasıl yaklaştığımızı, nasıl tedavi vereceğimizi ve hangi ilaçların verilmesi gerektiğini henüz net bir şekilde bilmiyorduk. Geçen iki yıl zarfında birçok araştırma ve birçok deneyim bizim hastalığa karşı nasıl davranmamız gerektiğini öğretti. Salgın sırasında bilgi kirliliğinin ne kadar zarar verebilir olduğunu yaşayarak öğrendik. Salgın bize birde aşı savaşlarını gösterdi. Salgından kurtulmak için kullandığımız aşıların ne kadar değerli olduğunu, gelişmiş ülkelerin nasıl aşı savaşlarına girdiğini aşılama ile beraber salgın dinamiklerindeki değişimi gördük. 2020-2022 yılları salgın yılları olarak tanımlanacaktır. Bu salgın sırasında hekimlerin doğru bilgilerin ulaşmasının çok değerli olduğunu gördük. Elinizdeki bu kaynak salgını bizzat yaşayarak elde edilen tecrübelerini yazıya dökmesi sayesinde oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Kitabın oluşturulmasındaki emeği olan tüm arkadaşlarımıza içten teşekkürlerimizi arz ediyoruz. Bu kitabın okuyuculara fayda getirmesini diliyoruz. Kuruluşu İstanbul’un fethine dayanan İstanbul Üniversitesi’nin tarihi, bir süreliğine medrese olarak hizmet veren Zeyrek Camii (Pantokrator Manastırı Kilisesi) ve Fatih Külliyesi’ne ait medreselerde verilen eğitime dayanmaktadır. Osmanlı dünyasında 19. yüzyılda başlayan reformlar eğitim sistemini de etkilemiş ve daha batılı bir üniversite anlayışı içeren Dârülfünun denemelerine girişilmiştir. 20. yüzyıl başında devam eden bu süreçte istenilen başarıya ulaşılamamıştır. Description: The book addresses the problem of the influence of copyright law on modern modes of functioning and understanding of literature. This problem is situated in a context of Law and Literature studies and in particular within the cultural studies of copyright, which are summarised in chapter one. The history of copyright law and related literary discussions is recapitulated in chapter two. In the next chapters, the analysis is focused on literary discussions in which copyright law is a directly posed problem, or it is indicated only as context. Particular attention is paid to: philological genealogical research (and texts by Wacław Borowy and John Livingstone Lowes); discussion surrounding T.S. Eliot’s poem ‘The Waste Land’; the debate provoked by Karol Irzykowski’s article ‘Plagiatowy charakter przełomów literackich w Polsce’ [‘The Plagiarising Character of Literary Breakthroughs in Poland’]; analysis of copyright law in the writings of Jacques Derrida and in the novel Muza dalekich podróży [The Muse of Long-Distance Travels] by Teodor Parnicki; finally, anthologies Future of Copyright published at the beginning of the twenty-first century in Poland. In the last chapter, the analysed problems are situated in the context of the debate on the commodification of literature in capitalist societies.

Description: Culture as a Verb is a book on what I call new humanities of a wide and vastly varied orientation, direction, turns, and simply interests, interconnecting in opposition to the principles of contemporary theory of humanistic cognition. For, if contemporary knowledge is presented as bodiless, impersonal, static, external and neutral (unengaged), then the new humanities inquiries are led on the basis of different principles: embodied knowledge, personalised (participating), actively-acting (intervening cognitively), penetrating the research field and situated (engaged). This is a very significant change . . . With it, we go from a culture of disinterested observation, founded on the myth of the contemplative view of the whole external world, to a real culture of participative action, reconciled with perspectivity and the fragmentary nature of cognitive actions of a subject, who forges a path to reality, from within and by their own actions.

Description: This book is the first monograph concerned with a feminist reading of Polish contemporary poetry to utilise tools of affective methodologies. It seeks to establish the extent to which affects contribute to the process of collective forms of existence. The book’s main thesis assumes affects to be the triggers of action, particularly of critically modifying established narratives about emotive histories of societies which include the allotment of the capacity to feel in order to coercively classify the actors and actresses of collective life. Poetry, as a very particular instance of those various affective machineries, becomes yet another version of collective memory. Poetical representations, acting in synergy with transformations of the contemporary subject, operate on three levels: firstly, by reproducing normative images of womanhood in its relations with surroundings, secondly, by disturbing the said images through an, often critical, reformulating of them, or thirdly, by becoming postulated variants of those transformations. The semantic dominants one can find in recent women’s poetry that, at the same time, constitute a portion of the broader symbolic feminine capital being a unified construct edifying the social discourses, pertain to the category of disease/illness, seeing, trauma and shame, the affective work, love, migration, and community.

Description: The author identifies selected aspects of the history of attention and exposes the peculiar relation between philosophy and literature against this background. The task of describing the world, not finished by phenomenology, is taken up by attentive poetry: it can complete the project of portraying the visible world, while keeping the rules of perceptive faith, but also being mindful of the constraints of language at the same time. After breaking contact between word and object, the poet becomes the one who brings the spirit of mankind closer to the world. In the context of twentieth-century dilemmas and projections, attention turns out to be not only a simple consequence of a certain aesthetic choice, but instead, choosing attention gains a crucial importance, rendering it a tool of re-vindicating the lost reality. Attentive poetry, that is such poetry, which does not allow itself to get carried away with language in whichever direction, but tames its anarchy, and does not accept a finished world, rejecting the temptation of relying on easy knowledge, is complemented by attentive reflection in this study: a reflection which is not prone to putting too much faith in the exclusivity of its own accomplishments. In healthcare, traditional complex health service systems are increasingly replaced by smart systems that can be monitored and controlled in real time. Intelligent systems equipped with digital technology opportunities have started the “Health 4.0” era in health care fields. The definitions of “Health 4.0” and “Smart Health” are used in parallel with the “Industry 4.0” period, in order to emphasize the cyber-physical determinants of health, symbolizing real-time information provision and access to holistic health care. One of the most important reasons why the concept of smart health has become popular is the concept of big data produced in medicine as well as in all areas of life. The enormous size and variety of data, whether real-time or timestamped, structured or unstructured, continues to grow in healthcare. Clinical artificial intelligence applications, which include more efficient and faster technological solutions in the production of health services, and which aim to increase the health level of individuals and improve their quality of life, are becoming widespread with approaches to improve health services by analyzing health data. In addition to the use of artificial intelligence in the administration of health services, performance and capacity increase, original models are also created in the management of health services. The use of informatics approaches in diagnosis, treatment and care processes, the developments in digital imaging technologies, the use of robotic systems in surgery, the widespread use of modeling and simulation technologies in medical education make a difference in the functioning of health institutions. Despite the disadvantage of high initial investment costs, artificial intelligence technologies in the field of health contribute greatly to measurement, diagnosis, treatment management and follow-up activities with their facilitating and adaptive effects. Although conceptual and technical studies on the future of artificial intelligence applications continue, it is not possible for artificial intelligence systems to display the ability for emotional intelligence, which requires design, adaptation and intuition, and to perform multitasking similar to the human brain. As in the field of informatics, there are still concerns about ethical reasoning responsibility and ethical decision making in artificial intelligence applications in medicine. In the third book of the series published by Istanbul University Press in medical informatics, the applications of medical informatics and artificial intelligence in medicine are discussed with a multidisciplinary approach and broad perspective. In particular, telemedicine and out-of-hospital patient management issues, which allow health service delivery to be provided without time and space limits, are handled with public regulations specific to the coronavirus pandemic period.

Description: Göl, akarsu ve denizler yüzyılları aşan süreden beri çoğunluğu insan kaynaklı olmak üzere çeşitli kirleticilerin baskısı altında bulunmaktadırlar. Özellikle endüstriyel üretimin hız kazandığı 1900’lü yılların ortalarından itibaren bu baskılar daha da artmış birçok su kaynağı kullanılamaz hale gelmiştir. Su kalitesindeki bozulmalar ve iklimsel değişim nedeniyle çok sayıda tür ortadan kalkmış, ya da tükenme noktasına gelmiştir. Ülkemizde de benzer çevresel sorunlar 1950’li yıllardan itibaren görülmeye başlanmıştır. Başta sanayi üretiminin büyük bir kısmının gerçekleştiği Marmara Bölgesindeki deniz ve içsu kaynakları olmak üzere birçok su kaynağı sanayi atıkları, evsel atıklar ve tarımsal kirleticiler ile baş başa bırakılmıştır. Söz konusu kirleticiler nedeniyle en büyük su kalitesi kaybına uğrayan alanların başında ise Marmara Denizi gelmektedir. Marmara Denizi havzası başta ülkemizin en büyük şehri olan İstanbul olmak üzere en büyük şehirlerini barındıran bir iç deniz konumundadır. Göreceli olarak küçük bir alan olmasına rağmen havzada ülke nüfusunun yaklaşık 1/3’ü yaşamaktadır. Havzadaki aşırı nüfus artışı ve kontrolsüz yapılaşma özellikle Marmara Denizi üzerinde büyük bir baskı oluşturmuştur. Uzun yıllar süresince arıtılmadan ya da sadece ön arıtıma tabi tutularak Marmara Denizine verilen atıklar denizin taşıma kapasitesini aşmış, bu nedenle denizde yaşayan birçok canlı türü tamamen ortadan kaybolmuştur. Description: In Part I, Ryszard Nycz formulates an opinion on the topical specifics of the humanities’ studies; the opinion is rooted in the traditions of the discipline (literary studies), the ability of its influential orientation (intertextual poetics), as well as the writings of T. W. Adorno, one of the most astute philosophers and researchers of modern culture. In Part II, the author drafts a modified formula for carrying out the theory of literature, the aim of which is to avoid not merely its marginalisation, but its breaking-up (and the assigning of it to anthropology and/or cultural studies in particular). In Part III, the author endeavours to delineate the tasks of literary criticism, exposed to challenges generated by the changes in the function and status of national literature, models of identity, and in the relationships between the global and local dimension of contemporary culture. In Part IV, case studies are used to critically test the traditional view of the solely-applied character of interpretation against theory. The last part, ‘Literature: A Reading of a Letter’, acts as a summary. In it, the author depicts a concept of literature precisely as poetics of experience, as well as drafting a sketch of the theory of its understanding. As part of this theory, in the entirety of the practices and procedures of getting to know it, the author distinguishes three separate (in some aspects) tasks: spontaneous understanding, intellectually rigorous interpretation, and the experience of reading.

Description: In her book, Katarzyna Liszka provides the reader with a clearly outlined map of the main sides of the debate on the ‘division of labour of memory’ after the Holocaust, examines the arguments, which are used in this dispute, together with an analysis of ethical implications, which, according to the author, have a fundamental significance for the majority of Jewish thinkers taking a stance in this debate. This angle, with the focus on the plural ‘ethics of memory’ in the beginning of the work, allows the author to connect various idioms of philosophy, theology and sociology of the twentieth century, as complementary elements of reflection framed as a way of remembering. In this perspective, the subsequent notional mediations, corrections of approaches taken by Hannah Arendt, Avishai Margalit, or Zygmunt Bauman, become an indirect proof of the crystallisation, not only of the aforementioned community of memory work, but also of the transformation of ethical and legal categories related to the issue of the community of universal ethics, which the author writes about in the conclusion of her work, with reference to the reflections of Natan Sznaider and Daniel Levi. Bu çalışmalar, “3 Aralık Dünya Engelliler Günü” kapsamında 2019 ve 2020 yıllarında gerçekleştirilen iki ayrı “Dünya Engelliler Günü Paneli”nde yapılan konuşmalardan, 3-4 Aralık 2021 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilen “Türkiye’de Engelli Haklarında Güncel Durum” temalı “Dünya Engelliler Günü Sempozyumu”nda sunulan bildirilerden ve yazar olarak davet edilen araştırmacıların eserlerinden oluşmaktadır. Engellilik Araştırmaları engelli kişilerin sosyal hayata dâhil olmalarında ortaya çıkan sorunları in san hakları bağlamında ele alan bir bilim dalıdır. Fiziksel (mimarî) mekânlara, bilgi teknolojilerine ve ulaşıma erişimi kısıtlı olan engelli bireyin diğer kişilerle eşit koşullarda sağlık ve eğitim hizmetlerinden yararlanabilmesi, istihdama katılabilmesi, sosyal ve politik hayatta varlık gösterebilmesi mümkün olmaz. Engelli birey ve ailesinin psikososyal açıdan desteklenmesi ve toplumdaki ayrımcı, dışlayıcı tutumlara karşı güçlendirilmesi gerekir. Description: The theoretical weakness of history of art and the cognitive inefficiency of studies on visual culture cause images to remain a challenge for us. Iconophilia is an alternative perspective, within which they are (finally) taken seriously. The history of iconophilia in French humanities (in pictorial semiology in particular) serves the purpose of drafting the proposed future of the thought on images. It is not about a traditional presentation of the history of the notion of an image, but about reflecting on the various strategies of understanding images in the humanities, the effect of which is theory. Description: This volume comprises texts created on the basis of three-fold meetings: the first kind were constituted by lectures led by invited guests, representing various fields and areas of research, which, in some necessary simplification, can be divided into historiography (Ewa Domańska), philosophy (Agata Bielik-Robson), literary and memory studies (Michael Rothberg), and philosophy of literature (Michał Paweł Markowski). The lectures were accompanied by workshops, whose leaders present their texts in the second part of the work, and the third part is made up of notes from panel talks. As per the nature of these types of sessions, they present themselves as highly intense (various meetings from morning until evening), as well as showing the unavoidable variety in outlooks, which is one of the major advantages of such events. Another advantage is a slightly more ‘personalist’ encounter, not so much with text, but with the figure of an author, and thus also with the personality of a researcher. What became the idea bringing all these activities together was memory, understood and treated in very different ways. The variety of starting points and views on the forms and places of the functioning of memory then transformed itself into an abundance of experiences of the ‘originators’ and the richness of feelings (also of those imprinting themselves in memory) of the ‘receivers’.

Description: In order to preserve the memory of the late Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin (d. 2018) and to ensure that his significant scientific legacy serves as a source of inspiration for future generations, the 1st International Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Symposioum on the History of Science in Islam, in collaboration with Istanbul University, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, and the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam held its inaugural conference between June 13-15, 2019. Subsequently, IU Press published 38 of the papers that had been presented at the conference. Following this, the decision was made to organize the symposium every two years, and preparations were undertaken for the 2nd International Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Symposium on the History of Science in Islam, which was held on October 7-9, 2021 with the theme of “Methodological Approaches to the History of Science in Islam.” The study of the intellectual output from the Islamic world as an object of research has a nearly 200-year history. Despite the efforts of many international scholars to discover, understand, and interpret the history of Islamic sciences and determine its relevance for contemporary society, many aspects of the history of Islamic sciences still exist that remain to be clarified, such as the individuals, works, theories, networks of relations, contexts, and influences. Two key questions facing researchers in this field is how to approach the history of Islamic sciences using methodological tools and how to utilize perspectives from different disciplines. The 2nd International Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Symposium on the History of Science in Islam aimed to address these issues by discussing the methodological aspects of how to research the history of Islamic sciences with a focus on the following questions: • How does the study of the history of Islamic sciences relate to the established historiography and research methods? • How can the history of Islamic sciences be periodized? Is creating a periodization that encompasses all sciences possible, or should separate periodizations be established for each individual science? • Can special methods be mentioned for studying the period following the 13th century that is commonly referred to as the post-classical period? • Has the paradigm of decline in understanding the history of Islamic sciences truly expired? • What opportunities and weaknesses do content-oriented and context-oriented approaches have in regard to analyzing scientific texts? • How should the relationship Islamic sciences have with the scientific accumulation of other civilization basins be handled? • What kind of balance should be established between continuity and originality when writing the history of scientific theories? • To what extent is the perspective presented by global history studies functional in understanding the history of Islamic sciences? • What kinds of methods and approaches should be used in teaching the history of general science at different levels, including the history of Islamic sciences? A total of 68 scholars, 41 from Turkey and 27 from other countries such as Germany, the United States of America, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Iran, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Syria, Tunisia, and Greece participated in 16 parallel sessions. The symposium was conducted in a hybrid format to take into account the ongoing pandemic, with 51 of the presenters having attended the symposium in person and 17 having presented their papers online. This evidence is then analyzed to help determine whether the cause of the fire was accidental or intentional. During the fire scene investigation, investigators may find evidence that could point to criminal activity, such as accelerants, damaged vehicles, and certain burn patterns. As a study aimed at developing new tools and techniques for interpreting, identifying, and analyzing evidence at the scene of a fire, this book will hopefully contribute to the improvement of fire research and help fill a gap in this field in our country.

Description: We will be following the departure of cinema ‘towards virtuality’ (towards new ways of creating, understanding and existence of cinema in the times of transformations of media technology) primarily from the perspective of selected artistic practices of three artists: Peter Greenaway (who often repeats the argument about the ‘death’ of traditional cinema and the birth of new ways of depiction), Lynn Hershman Leeson (American artist of the ‘wider cinema’) and Mike Figgis, who reflected on various types of cinematic image and the cinema of the digital age in his autothematic films. The authors will also discuss cinema in the wider context of cultural reflection. Questions on the ‘virtualisation’ of culture will require an attempt at defining the notion of ‘virtuality’, and a tracing of its journey through different levels of cultural discourses, as well as linking it back to the analysed works. Towards Virtuality… is a book about cinema (its creators, works and characters), steeped in technological, philosophical, scientific and, more generally, cultural transformations of modernity.

Description: Um die ambitionierten Klimaschutzziele zu erreichen, braucht Deutschland effektive Instrumente und Maßnahmen auf nationaler, bundesstaatlicher und kommunaler Ebene. Der Erfolg dieser Politik wird maßgeblich davon abhängen, ob es gelingt, eine breite gesellschaftliche Akzeptanz und Unterstützung für diese Maßnahmen auf den entsprechenden Ebenen zu erreichen. Die Haltung der Bevölkerung wird jedoch in der Regel auf nationaler Ebene über Umfragen gemessen, die geographische Unterschiede dabei auf den subnationalen Ebenen außer Acht lassen. Im Rahmen dieser Analyse schätzen wir die durchschnittliche Bevölkerungszustimmung zu 26 Klimaschutzmaßnahmen in den Sektoren Wärme, Transport und Energie auf Bundesland-, Landkreis- und kommunaler Ebene zwischen 2017 und 2021 mittels eines mehrstufigen Regressions- und Poststratifizierungsmodells. Die Schätzungen basieren auf zwei bundesweit repräsentativen Panel-Umfragen, dem Sozialen Nachhaltigkeitsbarometer und dem Ariadne Wärme-& Wohnen-Panel. Durch die Analyse werden erhebliche regionale Unterschiede in der Zustimmung von Klimaschutzmaßnahmen in der deutschen Bevölkerung sichtbar. Die Befürwortung einzelner Klimaschutzmaßnahmen variiert teilweise um bis zu 60 Prozentpunkte zwischen den untersuchten geographischen Einheiten. In der Gesamtbetrachtung der räumlichen Disparitäten zeichnen sich bedeutsame Unterschiede zwischen Stadt- und Landbevölkerung sowie West- und Ostdeutschland ab. Im zeitlichen Verlauf haben sich dabei die Einstellungen gegenüber einzelnen Maßnahmen, wie beispielsweise dem Ausbau von Wind- und Solarkraftanlagen, angenähert, während die öffentliche Meinung zu anderen energiepolitischen Instrumenten, wie dem Kohleausstieg, im Laufe der Jahre polarisieren. Mittels einer zusätzlich durchgeführten räumlichen Panelanalyse können wir zudem zeigen, dass sich die Veränderungen von bestimmten Kontextfaktoren auf die Zustimmung von Klimaschutzmaßnahmen auf kommunaler Ebene auswirken. So finden wir einen positiven Zusammenhang zwischen der Befürwortung des Ausbaus von Wind- und Solarkraftanlagen und dem tatsächlichen Zubau an Solar- und Windkapazitäten in diesen Regionen. Ferner wird die Haltung gegenüber klimapolitischen Maßnahmen stark von räumlichen Diffusionseffekten, d.h. der Ausbreitung von Einstellungen im sozialen Umfeld, bestimmt, wie der Einfluss von Meinungsänderungen in einer Region auf deren Nachbarregionen veranschaulicht. Die in diesem Bericht und auf dem interaktiven Online-Dashboard zur Verfügung gestellten Schätzungen der Zustimmung zu Klimaschutzmaßnahmen, stellen eine wichtige Informationsgrundlage für politische Entscheidungsträger:innen dar, um den gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen bei der Umsetzung von Klimaschutzmaßnahmen effektiv zu begegnen. Description: Wie schon 2021 hat der Gebäudesektor auch im vergangenen Jahr die erlaubten Emissionen gemäß Bundes-Klimaschutzgesetz überschritten. Die Fernwärme kann einen Beitrag leisten, um die Trendwende hin zur angestrebten Klimaneutralität zu schaffen. Klar ist aber auch, dass die Wärmenetze der Zukunft deutlich flexibler und effizienter werden müssen, etwa um aus erneuerbaren Quellen oder Abwärme von Rechenzentren gewonnene Wärme nutzen zu können. Angesichts der hohen Lebensdauer der Wärmenetze von etwa 50 bis 60 Jahren ist ein Umbau dieser Netze auf die Erfordernisse der Wärmewende besonders kritisch. Allerding müssen für eine erfolgreiche Anpassung verschiedene Ebenen ineinandergreifen: Die kommunale Wärmewende, die Transformation der Netze sowie die Digitalisierung der Verbrauchsmessungen. Ergebnis der Ariadne-Analyse ist, dass für die erforderlichen Umrüstungen der Netze ein massives Finanzierungsproblem besteht. So bleiben Fernwärmenetzbetreiber auf etwa 90% der Investitionskosten sitzen. Durch eine Nahverdichtung der Fernwärmeanschlüsse könnten die Kosten verringert werden. Weiterhin bietet die Nachrüstung der Wärmezähler für die Fernauslesbarkeit bis Ende 2026 die Möglichkeit, Maßnahmen zu kombinieren, etwa den Austausch der Hausstation und den hydraulischen Abgleich. Eine koordinierte Einbeziehung der handelnden Akteure könnte daher zur Trendwende im Wärmesektor beitragen.

Description: Die Dekarbonisierung des Verkehrs- und Stromsystems ist ein weitreichender Transformationsprozess, der erhebliche Veränderungen für die Menschen mit sich bringt. Er kann nur als gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe gelingen, die aus Betroffenen Beteiligte macht und Interessen sowie Vorstellungen von Bürgerinnen und Bürgern berücksichtigt. Wirksame Beteiligung im Forschungs- und Politikprozess sind bei der Verkehrs- und Stromwende deshalb unabdingbar. Unterschiedliche Formate, wie Befragungen und Deliberation erlauben es, die Einstellungen aus einem Querschnitt der Gesellschaft zu Politikoptionen zu untersuchen und Betroffene somit an der Entwicklung dieser partizipieren zu lassen. In dieser Analyse untersuchen wir in zwei parallel durchgeführten Befragungen im Rahmen der Ariadne Bürgerdeliberation und einer repräsentativen Panelbefragung die Haltung der Bürger:innen gegenüber verschiedenen Politikoptionen in den Bereichen Verkehr und Strom. Das Ziel war hierbei durch die vergleichende Betrachtung besser zu verstehen, welche Optionen gesellschaftlich mitgetragen werden (und welche nicht) und aus welchen Gründen. Die Verbindung beider Zugänge bietet eine umfassende Perspektive auf die gesellschaftliche Trägerschaft der Energie- und Verkehrswende. Die Bürgerinnen und Bürger sprachen sich in beiden Bereichen – Strom und Verkehr – für möglichst gerechte und effektive politische Optionen aus. Die Mehrheit der Befragten ist bereit, Veränderungen mitzutragen, wenn gewährleistet wird, dass alle Menschen und vulnerable Gruppen Zugang zu bezahlbarer Mobilität und Energieversorgung haben. Dies spiegelt sich in der Wahrnehmung von Stärken der verschiedenen Optionen und dem Wunsch, das Beste aus den Welten und Pfaden zu kombinieren. Für die Energie- und Verkehrswende insgesamt zeigen die Bürger:innensichten die Wichtigkeit einer Politik auf, die sich sowohl an sozialen als auch ökologischen Auswirkungen orientiert. Der klimafreundliche Umbau des Energiesystems wird von einer breiten gesellschaftlichen Mehrheit in Deutschland getragen und die Menschen sind bereit, sich bei der Umsetzung aktiv zu engagieren. Bei der Frage der Art der Gestaltung wird von den 2 Bürger:innen mehrheitlich eine dezentrale Energieversorgungsstruktur bevorzugt. Damit sind jedoch sowohl Hoffnungen als auch Sorgen verbunden. In der Verkehrswende ist den Menschen eine faire Teilhabe an Mobilität wichtig, dass also die verschiedenen Mobilitätsbedürfnisse diverser gesellschaftlicher Gruppen berücksichtigt werden. Neben der sozialen Gerechtigkeit spielt in der Verkehrswende auch die Klimawirkung – also die Effektivität von Maßnahmen – eine zentrale Rolle für die gesellschaftliche Trägerschaft. Trotz verbleibendem Diskussionsbedarf der beteiligten Bürger:innen zu konkreten Umsetzungsfragen zeigen die Ergebnisse die Bereitschaft sich mit den Auswirkungen politischer Optionen auseinanderzusetzen und dadurch Wandel nicht primär als Bedrohung und Sorge, sondern als Chance auf ein inklusiveres und attraktiveres Zusammenleben zu sehen. Eine Voraussetzung für einen wissenschaftlich informierten Lernprozess ist, das Wissen zu Politikoptionen und deren Auswirkungen für die breite Gesellschaft zugänglich und erfahrbar zu machen. Sowohl wissenschaftlich fundierte Informationsangebote als auch verständigungsorientierte Diskussionen sind effektive Formate, um dies zu ermöglichen. Letztlich lebt auch dieser Lernprozess von der Bereitschaft eigene Annahmen zu hinterfragen und sich für neue bzw. andere Argumente zu öffnen, die einem bisher als wenig relevant oder kaum nachvollziehbar erschienen. Zudem unterstreicht diese Analyse, dass in wissenschaftlich gut informierten Prozessen Bürger:innensichten eine wertvolle Ressource und Chance für eine besser gesellschaftlich abgestimmte und damit tragfähigere Klimapolitik darstellen. Aus Bürger:innensicht sollten diverse Wertvorstellungen, Bedürfnisse und Interessen bei der Umsetzung der Transformationen Eingang finden. Deswegen braucht es nach Meinung der Autorinnen und Autoren dieser Analyse einen Weg, wie die Politik über diese informiert wird – eine vielversprechende Möglichkeit hierfür ist die Befähigung von Bürger:innen zur politischen Mitbestimmung durch ein möglichst heterogenes Spektrum an Beteiligungsformen. Aus dieser Sicht stellt der Einbezug von Bürger:innensichten eine Chance für eine tragfähigere, an den Bedürfnissen der Bürger:innen orientierte

Description: Klimaschutzpolitik ist eine Wette: Eine ehrgeizige Verminderung klimaschädlicher Treibhausgasemissionen kann auch dann gerechtfertigt werden, wenn die Wahrscheinlichkeit katastrophaler Folgen des Klimawandels gering ist. Je niedriger die Kosten der Vermeidung und je höher die möglichen materiellen und immateriellen Schäden eines ungebremsten Klimawandels sind, umso sinnvoller ist es, eine ambitionierte Klimapolitik umzusetzen (Edenhofer/Jakob 2017). Die Klimapolitik beschränkt dabei die zuvor freie Nutzung der Atmosphäre als Treibhausgasdeponie und macht sie zu einem regulierten globalen Gemeinschaftsgut.

Description: Eine kohärente Klimaaußenpolitik (KAP) Deutschlands ist essentiell für das Gelingen sowohl der nationalen und europäischen Energiewende als auch für die effektive Unterstützung ambitionierter Klimapolitik außerhalb der Europäischen Union. Ziel dieses Ariadne- Hintergrundpapiers ist es, einen Diskussionsbeitrag zur Strukturierung der Debatte um die Eckpunkte und Optionen zur Ausarbeitung und Weiterentwicklung der deutschen KAP-Strategie zu leisten. Dazu werden vier Kategorien relevanter Ziele unterschieden. Diese reichen von klassischen klimapolitischen Zielen über industriepolitische sowie sicherheits- und handelspolitische Ziele hin zu breiteren außenpolitischen Zielen. Für jedes Ziel müssen entsprechende Mittel identifiziert werden, mit denen es erreicht werden kann, und Barrieren, die ihm im Weg stehen und entsprechend bedacht werden müssen. Für die Charakterisierung und Analyse verschiedener Mittel werden fünf Kategorien vorgeschlagen. Eine zentrale, aber in der Bewertung konzeptionell und empirisch herausfordernde Kategorie ist dabei das Transformationspotenzial einer Maßnahme. Im Fall von Zielkonflikten und begrenzten Ressourcen müssen Ziele priorisiert werden. Wir skizzieren dafür einen analytischen Rahmen und diskutieren illustrativ mögliche Optionen zur strategischen Gesamtausrichtung. Diese umfassen zum einen KAP-Gesamtstrategien von Staaten gegenüber allen anderen Ländern, und zum anderen Strategien für spezifische Staaten (z.B. die deutsche Strategie für den Umgang mit Indien oder Südafrika). Dabei können Strategien in einem Kontinuum von maximaler Priorisierung von Klimazielen (Klimapolitik First) bis hin zur nachrangigen Behandlung (Klimapolitik als Mittel zum Zweck) verortet und entsprechend ausgestaltet werden. Neben den Inhalten der Strategie werden Fragen der Organisation und Koordination in der Entwicklung und Implementierung der KAP-Strategie in den Blick genommen und die nächsten Schritte diskutiert. Eine erfolgreiche KAP-Strategie sollte dabei von Beginn an zwischen zentralen Stakeholdern im In- und Ausland in jeweils geeigneten Formaten erarbeitet, implementiert und im Sinne eines Lernprozesses fortlaufend angepasst werden. Eine KAP sollte sich in die breitere Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik Deutschlands einfügen, da relevante Politikfelder auf verschiedenen Ebenen eng miteinander verbunden sind. Bei der Erarbeitung der neuen KAP-Strategie der Bundesregierung sollte dazu insbesondere auf Kohärenz zur deutschen Sicherheits- und der Chinastrategie geachtet werden. 2 Grundlage der Strategieentwicklung ist die Klärung möglicher Ziele und Mittel der deutschen KAP und ihrer Wechselwirkungen miteinander. Eine KAP-Strategie muss durch Analysen zu Umsetzbarkeit und Kosten, politischen Wi-derständen und Zielkonflikten informiert sein und die normativen Vorgaben der deut-schen Außenpolitik berücksichtigen.

Description: Die Energiemärkte sind seit Beginn des Angriffskriegs auf die Ukraine sehr angespannt. Gleichzeitig besteht mit Blick auf die notwendige Erreichung von Klimaneutralität bereits ein großer Transformationsbedarf mit potenziell großen ökonomischen Wirkungen. Um abzuschätzen, welche zusätzlichen ökonomischen Folgen der mittel- bis langfristige Wegfall Russlands als Lieferant fossiler Energieträger bei gleichzeitigem Festhalten an den Klimazielen hat, wird das Szenario Energiesouveränität mit dem Szenario Technologiemix verglichen.

Description: In Kapitel 5 unseres englischsprachigen Reports (Zwar et al. 2023) gehen wir vor dem Hintergrund unserer vergleichenden empirischen Analyse von Klimainstitutionen gezielt auf die anstehende Klimaschutznovelle in Deutschland ein (die Reform des Bundes- Klimaschutzgesetzes (KSG)). Dieses Dokument ist die Übersetzung des für die deutsche Debatte besonders relevanten Kapitels.

Description: Westliche Ernährungsstile, die häufig einen hohen Anteil tierischer und industriell verarbeiteter Lebensmittel enthalten und gleichzeitig arm an vollwertigen, pflanzlichen Nahrungsmitteln sind, haben ausgeprägte negative Auswirkungen auf die menschliche Gesundheit. Dies ist unter anderem sichtbar an hohen Raten von Adipositas, kardiovaskulären und metabolischen Erkrankungen sowie einigen Krebserkrankungen. Gleichzeitig befeuern diese Ernährungsstile in maßgeblicher Weise die drängendsten Umweltprobleme unserer Zeit, von der Klimakrise bis hin zum Artensterben, und bedrohen damit die planetare Gesundheit. In einer Transformation zu stärker pflanzenbasierten Ernährungsweisen, beispielsweise im Sinne der „Planetary Health Diet“, liegt daher eine große Chance für Mensch und Umwelt. Auf Ebene der individuellen Gesundheit lässt sich über eine erhöhte Aufnahme antiinflammatorischer und eine reduzierte Aufnahme proinflammatorischer Nahrungsmittelbestandteile durch pflanzliche Verzehrmuster beispielsweise eine Verbesserung der Schmerzsymptomatik erreichen, insbesondere bei entzündlichen und degenerativen Gelenkerkrankungen. Eine nachhaltige Veränderung der global dominanten Ernährungsweisen ist zudem eine wesentliche Grundvoraussetzung für die Einhaltung globaler Umweltziele und damit den Erhalt einer lebenswerten und gesunden Zukunft für alle Menschen. Mediziner*innen kommt daher eine besondere Verantwortung zu, diese Veränderung entscheidend voranzutreiben.

Description: In diesem Papier untersuchen wir erstmalig die zukünftige direkte Kostenbelastung, die Haushalten durch unterschiedlich ansteigende Preise auf CO2-Emissionen in den Bereichen Wärme und Verkehr bis zum Jahr 2050 in Deutschland entstehen könnte. Wir stellen dazu einen methodischen Ansatz vor, in dem wir ein Energiesystemmodell mit Haushaltsdaten verknüpfen und mögliche Technologieanpassungen, wie ein Heizungswechsel oder Umstieg auf ein Elektroauto, der Haushalte unter Verwendung von Machine Learning-Methoden berücksichtigen. Um die Verbreitung verschiedener Heizenergieträger und Kraftstofftypen für Fahrzeuge sowie entsprechende Technologiewechsel der Haushalte für die Zukunft vorhersagen zu können, treffen wir einige vereinfachende Annahmen, wie uneingeschränkte Kapitalverfügbarkeit und perfekte Voraussicht der CO2-Preisentwicklung der Haushalte. Unter diesen Annahmen zeigen unsere Analysen, • dass sowohl niedrige als auch hohe CO2-Preispfade zunächst größtenteils regressiv wirken, also einkommensschwache Haushalte anteilig an ihrem Einkommen bemessen stärker belasten als einkommensstarke Haushalte. Durch unsere Vorhersagen ist jedoch eine schnelle Technologieanpassung in den einkommensschwächsten Haushalten zu beobachten, sodass die regressive Wirkung im Zeitverlauf abnimmt. • Während bei hohen CO2-Preisen im Jahr 2050 Haushalte im Mittel kaum noch CO2 emittieren, gibt es unter einem niedrigen CO2-Preispfad im Jahr 2050 noch einige, insbesondere einkommensstarke, Haushalte, die noch nicht emissionsfrei heizen und/oder Auto fahren. • Die vollständige Rückverteilung der Einnahmen aus dem CO2-Preis in Form einer Pro-Kopf-Pauschale kann sowohl unter dem niedrigen als auch unter dem hohen Preispfad bereits kurzfristig die regressive Verteilungswirkung in eine progressive Verteilungswirkung umkehren. Unsere Ergebnisse zeichnen gerade für einkommensschwache Haushalte ein recht optimistisches Bild, was zum Teil durch die einschränkenden Modellannahmen erklärt werden kann. Durch diese Annahmen wird insgesamt deutlich, dass • eine klare Kommunikation der Politik über die zukünftige CO2-Preis-Entwicklung notwendig ist, um Haushalten Sicherheiten für effiziente Investitionsentscheidungen zu bieten. • Darüber hinaus dürften stärkere, gezielte Unterstützungen für einkommensschwache Haushalte zur Überwindung von Liquiditätsbeschränkungen notwendig werden, um eine Transformation hin zu emissionsarmen Technologien sozial gerecht zu ermöglichen.

Description: Der Ausbau der Erneuerbaren Energien (EE) ist eines der Kernelemente auf dem Weg zur Klimaneutralität. Mit dem Osterpaket der derzeitigen Bundesregierung wurde eine Reihe von Gesetzen erlassen, die den Ausbau voranbringen sollen, indem neben deutlich höheren Ausschreibungen für Windenergie und Freiflächen- Photovoltaik (PV) beziehungsweise wirtschaftlichen Anreizen für Dachflächen-PV auch Genehmigungsverfahren beschleunigt und Flächen bereitgestellt werden. Zusätzlich zu offenen Fragen der technisch- ökonomischen Potenziale kommen Fragen der Akzeptanz auf Seiten der Bürgerinnen und Bürger: Was sind sie bereit mitzutragen und welche Änderungen im gesetzlichen Rahmen braucht es, um weitere gesellschaftliche Potenziale zu heben? Auch die Bundesregierung betont die Bedeutung von Akzeptanz und Teilhabe der Menschen beim Ausbau der Erneuerbaren Energien und greift Ansätze in ihrer Photovoltaik- sowie Wind-an- Land-Strategie auf. Das vorliegende Ariadne-Kurzdossier verbindet verschiedene Perspektiven, die für den Ausbau der Erneuerbaren Energien eine erhebliche Rolle spielen: Flächenpotenziale und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten der räumlichen Steuerung des Zubaus und Rückwirkungen auf das Übertragungsnetz sowie Fragen der gesellschaftlichen Akzeptanz. Es soll bewertet werden, inwieweit die bundesweiten Ausbauziele des Erneuerbaren-Energie-Gesetzes (EEG) 2023 so umsetzbar sind, dass sie aus Bürgersicht tragfähig sind. Bürgersicht bezieht sich hierbei sowohl auf die Ergebnisse des Deliberationsprozesses mit Bürgerinnen und Bürgern im Rahmen des Projekts Ariadne (Treichel et al., 2022) als auch auf die Resultate von bundesweiten Befragungsstudien des Sozialen Nachhaltigkeitsbarometers der Energie- und Verkehrswende (SNB, Wolf et al., 2022; Wolf et al., 2021). Dabei gehen wir technologiespezifisch in der Bewertung vor und stellen dar, wie diese Bundesziele regional umgesetzt werden können, und was Bürger:innen in Deutschland über die Maßnahmen zur Erreichung der Ausbauziele denken. Dazu werden die Erkenntnisse aus den Dialogformaten mit Bürger:innen beschrieben sowie die sozio-politische und lokale Akzeptanz von Erneuerbare-Energien- Technologien auf Basis des Sozialen Nachhaltigkeitsbarometers (SNB) untersucht. Anschließend werden die einzelnen Technologien, ihre Potenziale in der Fläche sowie rechtliche Fragen in den Blick genommen. Abschließend wird ein Ariadne-Bürger-Szenario vorgestellt, welches sowohl die neuen EE-Ausbauziele, die Flächenpotenziale der Bundesländer als auch Akzeptanzfragen der Ariadne- Bürgerdeliberation mit aufnimmt.

Description: Im November 2017 erschienen die Ergebnisse der ESYS-Arbeitsgruppe „Sektorkopplung“, die Transformationspfade für ein integriertes Energiesystem untersuchte. Seitdem wurden die deutschen Klimaziele mehrfach verschärft. War es 2017 noch das Ziel, die Treibhausgasemissionen bis 2050 um 80 bis 95 Prozent gegenüber 1990 zu reduzieren, hat Deutschland sich inzwischen zu Klimaneutralität bis zum Jahr 2045 verpflichtet. Der Fokus auf das Energiesystem ist daher nicht mehr ausreichend. Auch die industrielle Produktion muss binnen 22 Jahren klimaneutral werden. Nicht vermeidbare Treibhausgasemissionen müssen durch CO2-Entnahme aus der Atmosphäre (negative Emissionen) ausgeglichen werden. Diese Aspekte bezieht die Arbeitsgruppe „Klimaneutrale integrierte Energieversorgung und Produktion“ mit ein und erweitert damit die Betrachtungen der Arbeitsgruppe „Sektorkopplung“.

Description: Im Rahmen der vier Kopernikus-Projekte – Ariadne, ENSURE, P2X und SynErgie – wird die Transformation des deutschen Energiesystems hin zur Klimaneutralität analysiert. Im vorliegenden Bericht werden hierbei robuste Kernaussagen und relevante Unsicherheiten derjenigen Szenarien der Kopernikus-Schwesterprojekte dargestellt, die zur Zielsetzung die Klimaneutralität 2045 haben. Hierbei liegt der Fokus auf Indikatoren, die eine besonders hohe klimapolitische Relevanz haben.

Description: Das globale Agrar- und Ernährungssystem befindet sich im Wandel. Die Folgen des Klimawandels und andere Umweltauswirkungen beeinflussen agrarische Produktionsmuster, Ernteerträge und Ernährungssicherheit - nicht nur lokal vor Ort, sondern auch entlang der Lieferketten. Anpassungen der Ernährungsgewohnheiten füh - ren zu einer veränderten Nachfrage. Global ist eine Veränderung des Agrar- und Ernährungssystems aus min - destens vier Gründen geboten: Erstens ist die Landwirtschaft Hauptverursacherin des Artensterbens und trägt zum Klimawandel bei. Zweitens leidet nach wie vor ein Zehntel der Weltbevölkerung unter Hunger. Drittens verschärfen Fehlernährung und Übergewicht in den meisten Ländern der Welt bestimmte Krankheiten und verursachen gesellschaftliche Kosten. Viertens lebt in Industrieländern der überwältigende Teil der Nutztiere in Massentierhaltung. In diesem Beitrag ordnen wir die Krise des Agrar- und Ernährungssystems in Europa anhand ausgewählter in- terdisziplinärer Sichtweisen ein. Dabei zeigen wir auf, dass eine wissenschaftliche Annäherung an die Ursachen und potentiellen Lösungsmöglichkeiten der Ernährungskrise quantitativer Analysen und Modellierung be- darf, welche die komplexen Interaktionen von natürlichen und sozial-ökonomischen Systemen abbilden. Wir zeigen außerdem, dass zusätzlich auch normative Antworten darauf, wie die Lasten der Ernährungswende zu verteilen sind, notwendig sind. Darüber hinaus hängen die Ziele der Ernährungswende davon ab, welchen moralischen Wert und Schutz wir Nutztieren und intakten Ökosystemen zusprechen, und wie wir globale Nahrungsmittelsicherheit schaffen wollen. Als Lösungsmöglichkeiten für die gesellschaftlichen Probleme des Agrar- und Ernährungssystems wer- den Diversifizierung von Handelsbeziehungen und länderübergreifende Anpassungsstrategien, Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung, eine sozial gerecht ausgestaltete Bepreisung der Umweltkosten des Konsums von Tierprodukten und Schritte zur Umsetzung des gesellschaftlichen Konsens zur Abschaffung der Massentierhaltung betrachtet. Der Beitrag macht darauf aufmerksam, dass das Thema nicht nur die Abgrenzung der Problemfelder Arten- sterben, Gesundheit, Hunger und Tierschutz sprengt, sondern auch der verschiedenen Bewertungsmaßstäbe wie der ethischen Bewertung, der ökonomischen Effizienz und des partizipativen Dialogs. Für letzteren fehlt es oftmals an umfassender interdisziplinärer Wissenschaftskommunikation.

Description: Die Umweltkrisen unserer Zeit lassen sich nur bewältigen, wenn wir die Art und Weise verändern, wie wir leben – also wie wir wohnen, konsumieren, uns fortbewegen und ernähren. Es ist die Aufgabe der Politik, durch entsprechende Weichenstellungen umweltfreundliches Verhalten zu erleichtern, anzureizen und auch einzufordern. In diesem Sondergutachten zeigt der SRU, wie dies gelingen kann.

Description: Eine intakte Umwelt ist eine zentrale Voraussetzung für die menschliche Gesundheit. Damit alle Menschen gut und gesund leben können, sollte die Gesundheitsdimension des Umweltschutzes viel stärker als bislang in die relevanten Politikfelder integriert werden. Der SRU analysiert in diesem Sondergutachten, was dafür notwendig ist. Umweltprobleme, wie zum Beispiel Feinstaub, die Ausbreitung von Antibiotikaresistenzen und die Belastung mit per- und polyfluorierten Alkylsubstanzen (PFAS), sind unzureichend gelöst. Neue Herausforderungen, etwa durch den Klimawandel, kommen hinzu. Gleichzeitig sind sozial benachteiligte Menschen aufgrund ihrer Lebensumwelt oft überdurchschnittlichen Umweltbelastungen ausgesetzt. Manche dieser Probleme sind seit vielen Jahren bekannt, die Politik sollte sie nun konsequent angehen. Zudem wird oft unterschätzt, wie wichtig die Natur für Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden ist. Sie hilft unter anderem dabei, Stress abzubauen, motiviert zur Bewegung und stärkt wahrscheinlich auch das Immunsystem. Um all diese Funktionen zu erhalten, müssen wir sie besser schützen und ihr mehr Raum geben. Die multiplen Umweltkrisen führen zu grundlegend neuen systemischen Anforderungen an Politik und Gesellschaft und machen tiefgreifende Veränderungen erforderlich. Bei den anstehenden Transformationen, beispielsweise der Verkehrs-, Energie-, Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme, sowie den Maßnahmen zur Klimaanpassung ist es wichtig, die Gesundheitsdimensionen konsequent mitzudenken. Nur wenn Bund, Länder und Kommunen Umwelt und Gesundheit entschlossen zusammendenken, können gesunde Lebensbedingungen für alle geschaffen werden. In diesem Sondergutachten gibt der SRU Empfehlungen, wie dies gelingen kann. Dabei legt er Schwerpunkte unter anderem auf die Lebensverhältnisse in der Stadt, den nachhaltigen Umgang mit Chemikalien und eine stärkere Integration von umweltbezogenen Gesundheitsbelangen in andere Politikfelder.
