Description: This paper is concerned with the semi-linear elliptic problem involving nearly critical exponent (Pε): Δ2u=|u|8/(n−4)+εu in Ω, Δu=u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in Rn, n≥5, and ε is a positive real parameter. We show that, for ε small, (Pε) has no sign-changing solutions with low energy which blow up at exactly three points. Moreover, we prove that (Pε) has no bubble-tower sign-changing solutions.MSC: 35J20, 35J60.

Description: we analyze the geometrical structures of statistical manifold S consisting of all the wrapped Cauchy distributions. We prove that S is a simply connected manifold with constant negative curvature . However, it is not isometric to the hyperbolic space because S is noncomplete. In fact, S is approved to be a cohomogeneity one manifold. Finally, we use several tricks to get the geodesics and explore the divergence performance of them by investigating the Jacobi vector field.

Description: We show that measurements of a Neumann-to-Dirichlet map, with either inputs or outputs restricted to part of the boundary, can determine an electric potential on that domain. Given a convexity condition on the domain, either the set on which measurements are taken, or the set on which input functions are supported, can be made to be arbitrarily small. The result is analogous to the result by Kenig, Sjöstrand, and Uhlmann for the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. The main new ingredient in the proof is an improved Carleman estimate for the Schrödinger operator with appropriate boundary conditions. This is proved by Fourier analysis of a conjugated operator along the boundary of the domain.

Description: The aim of this paper is to provide a new suitable method for smart grid state estimation. Based on the non-linearity of methods used to solve the state estimation problem, in addition to the ability to solve such issues, it is also necessary to be responsive and have acceptable accuracy. In this article, a new metrology of optimization, Bat Algorithm (BA), based on the Weighted Least Square (WLS) method is presented. This algorithm is equipped with a new self-adaptive learning that improves the performance of BA and has a better effect on optimization. Bat algorithm can estimate voltage and angle output values by weighted least square method. The advantages of this method are lower cost function, faster solution and globally-locally better search in comparison with other algorithms. Description: Heretofore several efforts have been made for detection and quantification of neurological disorders which have observable symptoms as hand tremor. Multiple sclerosis is among such disorders which can somewhat quantified by measuring the severity of hand tremor. In this paper, a system is designed for recording and analysis of digital signal of Spirography standard test for this purpose. Hardware and software development are described for an apparatus, its performance is to make the standard Spirography test, to record the signal, to transfer the signal to the PC in which the associated software is installed and to analyze the signal according to the feature extraction and classification algorithms. Power Spectrum Analysis is proposed as one of the extracted features in the software since it reveals the effect of each frequency components in overall movement of hand. In addition to Power Spectrum Analysis complex features as Largest Lyapunov Exponent and mean value of the Lyapunov spectrum of the signals which are chosen to be the indications of the signals chaoticity level. Signal complexity is represented as its embedding dimension and time lag which together construct an approximate index window in periodic signal reconstruction manner. Time lag correlates to the sampling rate and signal geometry. Signals are treated as patterns in features space and they are undergone classification by a trained feed forward neural network. Classification task acts as the decision making process in which the membership of each subjects signal to the predefined classes of healthy and unhealthy group is calculated and corresponding consequent treatments are arranged by the physicist. It is shown in this paper that the complex features as chaotic features can representatively exhibit the signals dynamical behavior and they can be used for signal discrimination of subjects with and without hand tremor. Description: The classic dynamic decision making methods mainly focus on aggregating the existing attribute values, not considering the development trend of alternatives through the whole period. Both the two aspects should be taken into account for reflecting the dynamic nature comprehensively. This paper is to present a dynamic grey target method from a new viewpoint, where the attribute values take the form of grey numbers. In the proposed method, an extended grey target technique based on approaching degree is applied twice, which is firstly applied in seeking the ranking of alternatives with existing attribute values in each period, and secondly applied in exploring the ranking of fluctuation of alternatives with respect to each attribute. Then the comprehensive approaching degree of alternative is to be aggregated concerning the two aspects with respect to all attributes through all the periods. The new concept of approaching degree in grey target method reflects the similarity and closeness of sequence. Both the information performance and the development trend of alternatives through the multi-periods are reflected. An evaluation of sub-companies in an enterprise and discussion are given to demonstrate the proposed method's effectiveness and superiority. Description: This paper studies a purchasing EOQ inventory model with backordering, where setup cost, purchase cost, holding cost, shortage cost and demand quantity all are considered as independent fuzzy variables. Using a linear combination of possibility and necessity measures, the problem is formulated as a fuzzy expected value model. Then the crisp equivalent is derived when the fuzzy costs and demand are characterized by triangular fuzzy numbers. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Content Type Journal Article Pages - DOI 10.3233/IFS-141495 Authors Sk. Md. Description: With regard to multi-index decision-making problems, in which the index value of alternatives and weight are three-parameter interval grey number, a multi-index grey-target decision-making approach based on adjustment coefficient is proposed. First, considering that the resolution of index objective weights derived from entropy weighting method is not high, a normalized decision matrix method based on adjusting coefficient was proposed, and the optimizing entropy model was established to determine the index objective weights. Furthermore, the mean area method was applied to convert index subjective weights into real number, and the D-S (Dempster-Shafer) combination rule was utilized to integrate the subjective and objective weights into comprehensive weights. Finally, the optimizing solution was determined via the size of positive target distance. An example is presented to illustrate the suitability and effectiveness of the obtained methods. Description: In radar servo system, the load is usually subject to movement and gust, which may cause instability of the system. In this paper, the online identification methods of load rotary inertia and torque in radar servo system are proposed, respectively. The radar servo system is based on synchronous motor. The load rotary inertia of the system is identified online by a disturbance observer. Moreover, a reduced order Luenberger observer is designed to observe the variation of the load torque and velocity online. The simulation models are established to verify the proposed disturbance observer for the load rotary inertia and the reduced order Luenberger observer for the load torque and velocity.
