Abstract

A great step forward in our knowledge of the X-ray emission from the Orion Nebula has recently been made possible by HEAO-2 observations. On the basis of these new data, and with the purpose of suggesting further analysis and observations, this note aims to contribute to on-going discussions about plausible optical counterparts, by considerations on those observational traits which have not yet been taken into account.
