Abstract
The effect of alloying on the specific heat of Ti-Hf alloys has been investigated in the temperature range 1.2–4.5 K. A maximum is observed in the electronic specific heat coefficient γ around 35 at % Ti and the Debye temperature θ D decreases from titanium to hafnium. No superconductivity is found down to the lowest temperature studied.
