Manuscript Review Process and Review Policy

The Central European Journal of Labour Law and Personnel Management welcomes manuscripts in the field and any subfield of Labour Law, Social Security Law, Human Resource Management, Human Resources, Motivation and Knowledge Management. The submitted manuscripts are subject to a peer review.

This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
Manuscripts submitted first go through an initial screening by the editorial team.
The Editor-in-Chief resp. the Editorial Board first tests the manuscript for the several criteria of subject scope, apparent scientific validity, topical importance, relationship to prior publication, appropriate references, and length.
We feel a strong obligation to support the scientific community in all aspects of research and publishing ethics. All new submissions to our journal are automatically screened by using the iThenticate plagiarism checker software; we are also registered members of CrossRef.
After clearing the initial screening the manuscript is sent to one or more peer reviewers.
The reviewers are professionals and chosen from the field and subfield of Labour Law, HR, HRM and Knowledge Management to fit the profile of the scientific journal.
The submitted manuscript is sent to the reviewer(s) without the name and affiliation of the authors. The reviewers remain anonymous to the author(s) during the whole evaluation process.
The Editorial Board ensures that the reviews are objective and fulfil high academic standard. The chosen peer reviewers have a good track record of producing high-quality reviews.  When the objectivity or/and quality of the review does not meet the required standards, additional reviewers are appointed by the Editorial Board.
Peer reviewers independently make a recommendation to the journal editor whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected (with or without revisions).
The journal editor considers all the feedback received from the reviewers and makes a decision to accept or reject the manuscript.
The following are the most common decisions that are made:
accept without any changes
accept with minor revisions
accept after major revisions
reject the paper
Reviews should be completed within 4-6 weeks.
The Central European Journal of Labour Law and Personnel Management will not accept manuscripts to be reviewed if they are under consideration to be published in other scientific journals or manuscript with a content that have been substantially published elsewhere.
Since peer review is a crucial process in publishing, the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the submitted manuscript is the responsibility of the journal’s editorial team and the Editor-in-Chief.
