The measurement ofD ⁺_s andD ⁺ meson decays into$K*^ + \bar K*^0$

Abstract

Using the ARGUS detector at thee ⁺ e ⁻ storage ring DORIS II at DESY, we have observed the decaysD ⁺→K ⁻ K ⁰π⁺π⁺ andD ⁺ _s →K ⁻ K ⁰π⁺π⁺. The branching ratios were determined to be BR(D ⁺→K ⁻ K ⁰π⁺π⁺)=(1.0±0.5±0.3)% and BR(D ⁺ _s →K ⁻ K ⁰π⁺π⁺)/BR(D ⁺ _s →φπ⁺)=1.2±0.2±0.2. These decays are found to proceed mostly via the$\bar K*^0 K*^ +$ decay channel, with BR(D ⁺→$\bar K*^0 K*^ +$)=2.6±0.8±0.7)% and BR(D ⁺ _s →$\bar K*^0 K*^ +$)/BR(D ⁺ _s →φπ⁺)=1.5±0.4±0.4.
