Summary
The effect of dimethylsulfoxid on the acid phosphatase reaction was studied by quantitative biochemical and histochemical techniques. Slices and homogenates of rat liver showed increased activity. The results suggest that dimethylsufoxid enhances the biological permeability of lysosomal membranes.
