Abstract
The process of pigmentation of oil-droplets in the retina of three reptiles has been investigated with regard to ontogeny. — The ability of these animals to perceive colors was tested on different stages of life. Young Lacerta vivipara, with still uncolored oil-droplets., show optomotoric reactions to colors.
