Isolation of pathogenic Aspergillus species from commercially-prepared potting media

Abstract

Twelve commercially-prepared potting soils were screened for the presense of pathogenic Aspergillus species. Pathogenic Aspergillus species were isolated from 67% of the soils. A. fumigatus was isolated from 42% and A. flavus and A. niger from 33%.
