Archives of Metallurgy and Materials

Articles published in the Archives of Metallurgy and Materials (starting from issue 1/2018 vol. 63) are published on the pages of the publishing house of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Electronic Library of Polish Academy of Sciences.

The editors of the Archives of Metallurgy and Materials kindly inform that in the view of the increasing article processing costs and in order to maintain the highest standard and the widest publication availability to our readership we had no alternative but to introduce article processing charges (APC). The APC is payable by the Author or research funder to meet all the associated publication costs. Discounts may be applied in justified cases.

Therefore, we would like to inform the Authors that from September 1, 2023, the fee for the publication of the article is 100 EUR.

We start charging the fee for authors from the publishing schedule for issue 2/2024 and for those authors who submit an article for publication from September 1, 2023 and it receives positive reviews and is accepted for publication. The payment should be done after acceptance and before publishing the manuscript.
The cost of printing conference articles remains unchanged and is determined on the basis of a cooperation agreement between the conference organizers and the editorial office.

Notice: Currently, the estimated time from the approval of the article to its publication is from 6 to 8 months. Each article that has been positively reviewed receives a DOI number immediately, regardless of the date of publication.
