Zeitschrift der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften - Journal of Applied and Regional Geology (ZDGG) is an international peer reviewed journal, which publishes, since 1848, original contributions and review papers from all disciplines of geoscience research, with emphasis on the geology of Europe and applied topics in the Earth sciences.
The journal is published by the German Geological Society (DGGV).

ZDGG invites the submission of English and German manuscripts which present new insights into geology, paleontology, geophysics and mineralogy, economic geology, on sedimentological, tectonic and hydro- and environmental geological problems, expand on older insights, or present new data and approaches (e.g. 3D-modelling).

All manuscripts are subject to peer review.

ZDGG publishes 4 issues (= 1 volume) annually and is both available online and in form of printed issues.

Shortly after its relaunch in 2005, Zeitschrift der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften ‒ Journal of Applied and Regional Geology (ZDGG) was covered by ISI-Index of Science and has an impact factor since.
