Notes:
Abstract Bolting (size screening) separates different fractions from oleaginous seed meals with variations in composition as a function of particle size. Studies of the use of different types of milling before screening show that the impact mill and the mill-stone are best for rapeseed meal. The yield of isolate from different fractions of sun-flower meal was also examined. Bolting can be done more easily with dehulled seed meals and can be extended to various other raw materials like cotton-seed, soya, peanut, linseed and tomato seed.
