Description:
It was shown by Sandage (1965) that their redshift-apparent magnitude diagram was not incompatible with that obtained for bright galaxies with a displaced magnitude scale. The redshift-angular diameter relation is discussed together with the distribution of redshifts, multiple redshifts, QSOs and nuclei of normal galaxies, questions of variability and relativistic expansion, direct distance measurements, other evidence, and the overall situation.
