Description: Aims at the hydrological analysis in the early stage of water conservancy project construction, studies the long series runoff and its variation law in Wuguan River, and analyzes the characteristics of annual and interannual changes in this paper, Provides basic support for the later reservoir construction. Based on the precipitation data (1959-2001) and the runoff data (1959-2014) from Wuguan hydrologic station, many methods such as statistical analysis, R/S, M-K trend test and mutation test were used to study the change rule of runoff. After that, influential factors of runoff were analyzed in the paper. Results show that the annual runoff of the Wuguan River is 1.53 million cubic meters, monthly runoff differs greatly in a year with clear period of concentration from Jul. to Oct.; Annual runoff showed a long-term decreasing trend and the mutation point appeared in 2010; Precipitation changes was the main cause of the decreasing runoff compared to human activities. Runoff fore...

Description: Rotary compressor is most widely used in small capacity refrigeration and heat pump systems. For the air source heat pump, the heating capacity and the COP will be obviously degraded when it is utilized in low temperature ambient. Gas injection is an effective method to enhance its performance under those situations, which has been well applied in air source heat pump with scroll compressor. However, the development of the gas injection technology in rotary compressor is relatively slow due to limited performance improvement. In this research, the essential reason constraining the improvement of the gas injection on the rotary compressor and its heat pump system is identified. Two new injection structures for rotary compressors has been put forward to overcome the drawback of traditional injection structures. Based on a verified numerical model, the thermodynamic performance of air source heat pumps with the new gas-injected rotary compressor are investigated. The results indica...

Description: With the dramatic growth of urban tunnels in recent years, energy saving and environmental protection have received intensive attention in tunnel construction and operation. As reference to the concept of green buildings, this paper proposes the concept of green tunnels. Combining with the key issues of tunnel design, construction, operation and maintenance, the major aspects of green tunnels including prefabricated construction, noise control, ventilation & lighting energy saving, and digital intelligent maintenance are discussed and the future development of green tunnels is outlined with the economic and social benefits as indicators.

Description: We report here our recent electron transport results in spatially separated two-dimensional electron and hole gases with nominally degenerate energy subbands, realized in an InAs(10 nm)/GaSb(5 nm) coupled quantum well. We observe a narrow and intense maximum (∼500 kΩ) in the four-terminal resistivity in the charge neutrality region, separating the electron-like and hole-like regimes, with a strong activated temperature dependence above T = 7 K and perfect stability against quantizing magnetic fields. We discuss several mechanisms for that unexpectedly large resistance in this zero-gap semi-metal system including the formation of an excitonic insulator state.

Description: Using unstructured hybrid grid technique and SIMPLEC algorithm,a general three-dimensional simulation based on Reynolds Navier- stocks in multiple reference frames and the RNG k-ε turbulence model, is presented for the reversal centrifugal pump (PAT) with a guide vane. Four different schemes are designed by a change of the number of guide vane blade of PAT. The inner flow field in every scheme is simulated, accordingly, the external characteristic and static pressure distribution in flow field in PAT is obtained. The results obtained show that the efficiency can be improved by adding a guide vane for the PAT, besides, the high efficiency area is wider than before. Guide blade numbers changed, external characteristics of turbine changed, and the external characteristic changed. The optimal value is existent for the guide vane blade number, which has a great impact on the distribution of pressure in runner inlet.

Description: In order to study the influence on gap changing of the static and dynamic components in axial flow pump, the axial flow pump model (TJ04-ZL-06) that used in the eastern of south-to-north water diversion project was selected. Steady turbulence field with different gaps was simulated by standard κ-ε turbulence model and double-time stepping methods. Information on the pressure distribution and velocity distribution of impeller surfaces were obtained. Then, calculated results were compared with the test results and analyzed. The results show that the performance of pump is not sensitive with the axial gap width under design conditions and the large flow rate condition. With increasing gap width, it will be improved in low flow rate condition. The attack angle of impeller inlet in small flow rate condition become small and the flow separation phenomenon can be observed in this condition. The axial velocity distribution of impeller outlet is nonlinear and to increase the axial gap is...

Description: Snail trails on photovoltaic modules are a source of enormous concern to the solar industry as few scientific reports on the mechanisms producing this global phenomenon were previously available. The samples surface were treated with CH 3 OH/CH 2 Cl 2 and used the SEM and Raman for material analysis. The size of the discoloration silver grid is about 80-200 nm. From the Raman spectroscopy can be seen snail trails and the surrounding discoloration of silver on the Ag 2 CO 3 generation.

Description: The non-polarity and poor hygroscopicity of polypropylene (PP) impede its wide application. The polar monomers, glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and methacrylamido propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (MAPTAC) were grafted onto the spun-blown polypropylene nonwoven fabric (SMS) under ultraviolet irradiation, and the subsequent functionalization of the grafted fabrics was implemented as well. The results show that both the monomer and the polymer of HEMA are hydrophilic and are grafted uniformly onto the fabric surface as well as into the melt-blown layer with the hydrophilicity being enhanced slightly, whereas the hydrophilic monomer yet the hydrophobic polymer of MAPTAC prefer to be grafted onto the melt-blown fibre with the wicking effect. Both the monomer and the polymer of GMA are hydrophobic and are favourably grafted into the meltblown layer with no hydrophilicity being improved. The grafting diminishes the fibre crystallinity and melting tempera...

Description: The 40 T hybrid magnet under construction at High Magnetic Field Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CHMFL) consists of an 11 T superconducting outsert with clear bore of 800 mm and a resistive insert with clear bore of 32 mm. The outsert made of Nb 3 Sn CICC is cooled with 4.5 K forced flow helium. The main cryogenic system includes a helium refrigerator (360 W at 4.5 K) and a helium distribution system for the cooling of coils, structures, transfer line and current leads. The helium refrigerator was successfully commissioned and put into operation in 2012. The helium distribution system installation will be completed in December 2015. This paper discusses the design of cryogenic system and recent progress in construction.

Description: As the amount of reactive nitrogen (N) generated and emitted increases the amount of N deposition and its contribution to eutrophication or harmful algal blooms in the coastal zones are becoming issues of environmental concern. To quantify N deposition in coastal seas of China we selected six typical coastal sites from North to South in 2011. Concentrations of NH 3 , HNO 3 , NO 2 , particulate NH 4 + (pNH 4 + ) and pNO 3 − ranged from 1.97– 4.88, 0.46 –1.22, 3.03 –7.09, 2.24 – 4.90 and 1.13–2.63 μ g N m −3 at Dalian (DL), Changdao (CD), Linshandao (LS), Fenghua (FH), Fuzhou (FZ), and Zhanjiang (ZJ) sites, respectively. Volume-weighted NO 3 − –N and NH 4 + –N concentrations in precipitation varied from 0.46 to 1.67 and 0.47 to 1.31 mg N L −1 at the six sites. Dry, wet and total deposition rates of N were 7.8–23.1, 14.2–25.2 and 22.0 ...
