    Notes: Networking is important for all employees to acquire the information, guidance, feedback, and social support necessary for career success. Women and minorities, however, do not have the large, strong, dense networks that white males have used to definite advantage. The article presents virtual networking (acquiring this important information through Internet resources) as a means of strengthening women and minority networks. It discusses how Web pages, e-mail, chat rooms, and other Internet resources may improve these networks and makes recommendations for organizations to enhance virtual networking.

    In-Space Transportation for Geo Space Solar Satellites (2000)

    Description: Space solar power satellites have the potential to provide abundant quantities of electricity for use on Earth. One concept, the Sun Tower, can be assembled in geostationary orbit from pieces transferred from Earth. The cost of transportation from Earth is one of the major hurdles to space solar power. This study found that a two-stage rocket launch vehicle with autonomous solar-electric transfer can provide the transportation at prices close to the goal of $800/kg

    Description: This viewgraph poster presentation reviews the rationale for a call for a new program in residency for aerospace pharmacy. Aerospace medicine provides a unique twist on traditional medicine, and a specialty has evolved to meet the training for physicians, and it is becoming important to develop such a program for training in pharmacy designed for aerospace. The reasons for this specialist training are outlined and the challenges of developing a program are reviewed.
