Fünf-, sechs- und zehngliedrige 1.2-Bis-trimethylsiloxy-cycloalkene werden aus Dicarbonsäureestern, Trimethylchlorsilan und Natrium synthetisiert und durch saure Hydrolyse in die entsprechenden cyclischen Acyloine oder durch Umsetzung mit 2.4-Dinitro-phenylhydrazin in die entsprechenden phenylosazone übergeführt. Aus Sebacinsäureestern entsteht als Nebenprodukt 1.2.11.12-Tetrakis-trimethylsiloxy-cycloeikosdien-(1.11). Die Silylierung des Natriumenolates von 2-Äthoxycarbonyl-cyclopentanon führt zu 1-Trimethyl-siloxy-2-äthoxycarbonyl-cyclopenten-(1).
