Description / Table of Contents:
Solutions of VOCl2 in methanol are obtained by: 1. electrolytical reduction of VOCl3 in methanol/HCl; 2. dehydration of a solution of VOCl2 · 2 H2O in methanol. From these solutions solid adducts with other ligands can be prepared. New compounds are VOCl2 · 2 diethyl ether, VOCl2 · 1 THF, VOCl2 · 2 H2O · 2THF (THF = tetrahydrofurane). Exchange of Cl- by J- and addition of dimethyl sulfoxide or dimethyl formamide results in formation of complex compounds with these ligands. With pyridine by partial methanolysis VOJ(OCH3) · 3 Py is formed.Magnetic susceptibilities, infrared and electron spectra were measured.
Notes:
Lösungen des VOCl2 in Methanol können dargestellt werden: 1. Durch elektrolytische Reduktion von VOCl3 in HCl-haltigem Methanol. 2.
