Abstract We have measured the14N(n, p)14C reaction cross section at 24.5, 53.5 and 144 keV to be 2.04±0.16 mbarns, 2.08±0.23 mbarns and 2.07±0.27 mbarns, respectively. The measured values indicate that this reaction could have a large influence on the process of element formation in the Universe.
