Notes: It is shown that any model with the zero (generalized) Nijenhuis tensor, under some additional assumptions, will automatically satisfy the hierarchy equation with an infinite number of conserved quantities in involution. Especially, if there is a dual symplectic structure with zero Nijenhuis tensor, then there exist infinite numbers of Poisson brackets and of Lagrangians giving the same equation of motion. Toda lattice is one such example

Notes: A semisystematic method of finding solutions that satisfy the zero Nijenhuis tensor condition with dual symplectic structure is developed. In this manner, a few solutions, including that of the Toda lattice, have been found. It is also shown that the general solution for the linear problem is intimately connected with nontriviality of the second cohomology group of solvable Lie algebras. Moreover, the case of the quadratic problem requires studies of an algebra involving the triple-linear product system.

Notes: It has been shown that any real irreducible representation of any C(p,q) can be, in principle, explicitly constructed inductively. The relation between the pseudo-octonion algebra and C(8,0) as well as C(0,8) has also been investigated in some detail. Finally, dimensions of the real spinor representations of SO(p,q) have been studied.

Notes: It will be shown that general polynomials of the Kac–Moody field can generate either a new infinite-dimensional Lie algebra or W3 -type algebra, at least for the classical field case. For the case of the infinite dimensional Lie algebra, it leads to an infinite number of conserved classical quantities which generate hierarchy equations analogous to that of the KdV system. The chiral boson equation emerges as the lowest-order equation of the hierarchy.

Notes: A classification of real matrix irreducible representations of finite-dimensional real Clifford algebras has been made. In contrast to the case of complex representation, three distinct types of representations can be obtained which we call normal, almost complex, and quaternionic. The dimension of the latter two cases is twice as large as that of the normal representation. A criteria for a given Clifford algebra to possess a particular type of the representations is also given with some applications.

Notes: A further generalization to construct integrable dynamical systems with hierarchy has been developed, based upon a generalization of the zero Nijenhuis tensor condition in a symplectic manifold with double symplectic structures. As an example, the periodic Toda lattice Hamiltonian has been shown to satisfy these conditions. The case of the three-dimensional Coulomb potential problem has also been analyzed in a similar fashion.

Notes: For discrete finite systems, it is known that the zero Nijenhuis tensor condition can be used to explicitly construct conserved quantities in involution. Although the same method is not directly generalizable for continuous systems because of the divergence problem, the difficulty can be overcome with some minor modifications. In this way, various cases of KdV, nonlocal KdV, continuous Toda lattice, Kac–Moody hierarchy, and a model based upon a W3-algebra systematically by the same technique can be discussed.

Notes: For any integrable and, more generally, any partially integrable model, the existence is shown of a Yang–Mills gauge field with zero curvature, whose gauge group consists of all general coordinate transformations. It has been suggested that this fact may have some connection with existence of an affine connection in the space with zero Riemann curvature tensor. A BRST-like quadratically nilpotent operator is also constructed for any theory with Poisson bracket structure whenever such a connection with zero Riemann curvature exists.

Notes: The result of Paper I in this set is generalized and the Yang–Baxter equation is solved in terms of triple systems called orthogonal and symplectic ternary systems. In this way, several other new solutions are found.

Notes: Let M be a differentiable manifold with a (1,1) tensor field Sνμ(x). A notion of distorted torsion tensor is introduced that reduces to the ordinary torsion tensor when Sνμ=δνμ. It is then shown that the distorted torsion tensor satisfies a generalization of the first Bianchi identity. The new identity involves the Nijenhuis tensor in contrast to the standard Bianchi identity. Using this generalized formula, BRST-like operators are constructed that satisfy a Lie-super algebra, when both Nijenhuis and Riemann tensors vanish identically.
