Optically Active Transition Metal Complexes, LX. The Equilibria of the Diastereomers of C5H5(CO)2. Mo-Thioamidato Complexes with Chiral ThioamidesFive molybdenum complexes C5H5(CO)2MON(R*) C(R)S (11-20), derived from thioacetamide and thiobenzamide, respectively, with chiral C atoms at the amide nitrogen atom have been prepared. The asymmetric induction at the Mo atom in the equilibria of the diastereoisomers can be determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. It is for CH(C6H5)(R1), R1 = C2H5, CH(CH3)2, 48 and 98% respectively. With two alkyl groups CH(R1) R2) the induction is only small. The measurements are only in accord with the stereochemical analogy model of Ruch and Ugi if for λ(Et) and Δ(i-Pr) strongly positive and for Δ(Ph) a negative value is used. An explanation will be proposed.
Notes:
