Article Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) is involved in the development of some cancers including nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Here, the authors show that a direct interaction between the viral protein gB and a host protein, neuropilin 1, is required for EBV infection of nasopharyngeal epithelial cells.
