Notes: Abstract Autoionization levels 1s 2s2 2p2, 1s 2p4 and 1s 2s 2p3 of B-like ions were theoretically investigated for Z= 5–100. Calculation was made using perturbation theory over 1/Z. Relativistic corrections were taken into account in limits of Breit operator. Behaviour of radiative transition probabilityA, autoionization rate Γ and level lifetime τ was considered fromZ = 5 up toZ = 100 in detail for configurations 1s 2s2 2p2, 1s 2p4 withJ = 1/2.

Notes: Abstract The energies of transitions of the type 1 s2 2 s2 2 p3-1 s2 2 s 2 p4-1 s2 2 p5 were computed for isoelectronic sequence of nitrogen. The account was taken of the Hartree-Fock and correlation energies in the first two-three orders of the perturbation theory and the relativistic corrections in terms of Breit operator. The computed values were compared with experimental results for the isoelectronic oxygen series. Sufficiently good agreement of the computed and experimental results for all isoelectronic sequence manifests rather fast convergence in the series of powers of 1/Z. The perturbation theory was employed in computing the transition probabilities of 1 s2 2 s2 2 p3-1 s2 2 s 2 p4-1 s2 2 p5. The data computed may be used in the identification of the coronal solar spectra and the spectra of high-temperature plasma obtained under the laboratory conditions.

    Notes: Abstract Feynman diagrammatic technique was used for the calculation of Hartree-Fock and correlation energies, relativistic corrections, dipole matrix element. The whole energy of atomic system was defined as a polen-electron Green function. Breit operator was used for the calculation of relativistic corrections. The Feynman diagrammatic technique was developed for 〈HB〉. Analytical expressions for the contributions from diagrams were received. The calculations were carried out for the terms of such configurations as 1s2 2sn1 2pn2 (2 ≧n1≧ 0, 6≧ n2 ≧ 0). Numerical results are presented for the energies of the terms in the form $$E = E_0 Z^2 + \Delta {\rm E}_2 + \frac{1}{Z}\Delta {\rm E}_3 + \frac{{\alpha ^2 }}{4}(E_0^r + \Delta {\rm E}_1^r Z^3 )$$ and for fine structure of the terms in the form $$\begin{gathered} \left\langle {1s^2 2s^{n_1 } 2p^{n_2 } LSJ|H_B |1s^2 2s^{n_1 \prime } 2p^{n_2 \prime } L\prime S\prime J} \right\rangle = \hfill \\ = ( - 1)^{\alpha + S\prime + J} \left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {L S J} \\ {S\prime L\prime 1} \\ \end{array} } \right\}\frac{{\alpha ^2 }}{4}(Z - A)^3 [E^{(0)} (Z - B) + \varepsilon _{co} ] + \hfill \\ + ( - 1)^{L + S\prime + J} \left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {L S J} \\ {S\prime L\prime 2} \\ \end{array} } \right\}\frac{{\alpha ^2 }}{4}(Z - A)^3 \varepsilon _{cc} . \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ Dipole matrix elements are necessary for calculations of oscillator strengths and transition probabilities. For dipole matrix elements two members of expansion by 1/Z have been obtained. Numerical results were presented in the form P(a,a′) = a/Z(1+τ/Z).

Notes: Abstract On the bais of two programs, calculations are carried out for energies, probabilities of radiative transitions and nonradiative decays, and lifetimes of levels of two-electron systems 2l.4l′. The results of the two calculations are compared for a wide range of Z. Possible channels of radiative transitions and nonradiative decays are discussed. Their relative contribution to the total probability is evaluated. This evaluation is compared with data obtained by calculations, on the basis of which a conclusion is made about the contribution of correlation and relativistic effects. The Z-dependences are investigated for each of the parameters under consideration. A comparison is made with the results of other calculations.

Notes: Abstract By applying perturbation theory to the reciprocal of the nuclear charge (1/Z), the spectra of a series of oxygen-like ions (having configurations of the 1s22s22pn, 1s22s2pn+1, 1s22pn+2, n =4 type) are calculated. The results of the calculation are compared with existing experimental data. The difference between the theoretical and experimental energies of the terms is 0.1–1%.

Notes: Abstract The leading Feynman diagrams contributing to the energy of an atom are calculated. Numerical calculations of the energy matrices are carried out for the states of configurations 1s2s2 and 1s2p2 in three-electron atoms and 1s22s2 and 1s22p2 in four-electron atoms. For the case of Fe XXIV the theoretical wavelengths of the transition are compared with experimental data. The numerical calculation shows that the two-photon diagrams with two and three open ends make contributions of the same order of magnitude to the energy of the atom.

Notes: Abstract On the basis of the S-matrix approach, a theory of perturbations in 1/Z is developed; the energy of a multielectron system is written in the form of a double series in powers ofα andαZ and a method of determining the coefficients of this series in a j-j coupling scheme is given. The method is applied to configurations of the type $$1s^2 2s^{n_1 } 2p_{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}}^{n_2 } 2_{{3 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {3 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}}^{n_3 } $$ , and numerical results are given for the wavelength of transitions between several states of the isoelectronic as sequence of carbon, illustrating the good agreement between experiment and theory.

Notes: Abstract Relativistic wave functions have been used to calculate the probabilities for (1s2s2p)4P5/2-(1s2Kf)2F5/2 autoionization and (ls2s2p)4P5/2-(1s22s)2 S1/2 magnetic quadrupole transition, together with the lifetimes of the (1s2s2p)4P5/2 states, for lithium-type ions with Z from 10 to 60; the results are compared with measurements and with calculations from literature sources.

Notes: Abstract Expressions have been obtained on the basis of S-matrix theory for the computation of electrical multipole transition probabilities in a relativistic approximation in a multielectron atom in first-order field perturbation theory. Also considered are corrections corresponding to simultaneously taking account of the external field and the interelectron interactions. Results of computing the wavelengths and probabilities of intercombinational transitions in multicharge ions between the configurations 1s 2p-1s2 for 4 ≤ Z ≤28 and 1s2 $$2s^n 1 2p^{n_2 } - 1s^2 2s^{n_1 \pm 1} 2 p^{n_2 \pm 1} $$ for20 ≤ Z ≤ 30 are presented. The data obtained can be used to interpret soft x radiation originating in transitions observed in the solar corona and high-temperature plasma laboratories.
