Notes:
Cross-polarization, magic-angle spinning NMR experiments have been carried out for nine square-planar platinum(II) complexes, each with two substituted phosphine ligands. 13C and 13P (and, in some cases, 195Pt) nuclei were observed. The results reveal crystallographic non-equivalence which, in one instance, is confirmed by subsequent X-ray studies. Chemical shifts and coupling constants - (Pt,P), (Pt,C), (P,C) and, for one compound, (Sn,P) - are reported and discussed. Shielding tensor data are also presented.
