    Notes: This paper studies sales promotions through coupons in an oligopoly under imperfect price information. Sellers can distribute either ordinary coupons, or coupon (price) advertising, or both types of coupons, at distant locations to attract consumers from their rivals' markets. A unique symmetric pure-strategy equilibrium exists where rebates and couponing intensity are always positive. In the ordinary-coupon equilibrium, prices, promotional efforts, and sellers' profits are higher than in the coupon-advertising equilibrium. However, if sellers are allowed to distribute both types of coupons, only coupon advertising is sent out in equilibrium.

    Notes: Anti-dumping actions are now the trade policy of choice of developing and transition economies. To understand why these economies have increasingly applied anti-dumping laws, we build a simple theoretical model of vertical intra-industry trade and investigate the strategic incentives of exporting firms to undertake dumping. We show that the definition of dumping matters. Based on a comparison of low-quality and high-quality prices, only unilateral dumping by the low-quality firm obtains. By contrast, the standard WTO definition leads to either reciprocal or unilateral dumping by the high-quality firm, depending on cross-country differences in incomes, the height of tariff protection and on exchange rate changes.

Проведен полный статистический анализ остатков. Программа может быть использована для дискриминации химических кинетических моделей и для аналитических делей.
    Notes: Abstract A general regression program KILET written in FORTRAN IV for an IBM PC and other computers (MV 4000 Eclipse and EC 1033) enables (i) to model multicomponent kinetic data (ii) to load the smooth curves with random noise of required level (iii) to evaluate rate constants and/or simultaneously concentrations. Complete statistical analysis of residuals is performed. The program can be used for the discrimination of chemical kinetic models and for analytical purposes.

    Notes: Abstract A method for kinetic model search based on a simultaneous regression estimation of rate constants, stoichiometric indices and/or reaction orders is proposed. The advantage is that (i) the search is faster and more economical than the classical trial and error approach, and (ii) standard deviations of stoichiometric indices and/or of reaction orders are obtained. A modified version of the KILET program is submitted.

Изменения температуры могут бытй линейными, гиперболическими или могут быть описаны любой плавной функцией, изображаемой полиномом вплотй до 4-ой степени. Метод продемонстрирован на примерах линейных и гиперболических изменений для симулированных и экспериментальных данных. Определение кинетических результатов в неизотермических экспериментах имеет преимущества перед изотермическими экспериментами.
    Notes: Abstract Computer method for evaluation of Arrhenius equation parameters from non-isothermal kinetic data is offered in KILET program. Changes of temperature can be linear, hyperbolic or of any smooth function which could be expressed by a polynomial of up to 4th degree. The method is demonstrated on examples of linear and hyperbolic changes for simulated and experimental data. The advantage of non-isothermal experiment over isothermal one for evaluation of kinetic solution data is stressed.

    Notes: The isomerization reaction of cholest-5-en-3-one has been studied in a solution of cyclohexane using trichloroacetic acid as catalyst. At the same time a general reaction scheme is proposed to be valid for all the cases assayed in which the monomer form of the acid is considered as the only effective catalyst. The experimental results agree with these hypotheses and with the calculation of the individual rate constant together with the reaction order with respect to the catalyst. Semiquantitative studies have been carried out with other catalysts and solvents, confirming the validity of the reaction scheme. The thermodynamic activation parameters have also been calculated, and a comparative study was made with the results of the evaluation of the reaction when it takes place in amphiprotic solvents. A reaction mechanism is proposed based on all the kinetic information obtained.
