    Notes: By treating [(CO)3Re(Hpz)2(pz)] (Hpz = pyrazole) with [Cu(CH3CN)4]BF4, AgNO3, or [Au(tht)Cl] (tht = tetrahydrothiophene) in acetonitrile in the presence of Et3N, the corresponding trinuclear complexes {(CO)3Re(pz)3[M(CH3CN)]2} (1a-c) have been obtained. Treatment of complexes 1a-c with cyclohexyl isocyanide (c-C6H11NC) afforded the derivatives {(CO)3Re(pz)3[M(c-C6H11NC)]2} (2a-c). Complexes 2a-c have been characterized in solution by 1H-NMR spectroscopy and in the solid state by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.

    Notes: By reacting [Re(CO)3(Hpz)2(pz)] (Hpz = pyrazole) with [Mn(CO)5Br] in toluene in the presence of Et3N, the dinuclear complex [(CO)3Re(pz)3Mn(CO)3](Et3NH) (1) was obtained. The reaction of 1 with molecular oxygen affords the tetranuclear compound [(CO)3Re(pz)3Mn(O)3Mn(pz)3Re(CO)3](Et3NH)2 (3) or the trinuclear compound [(CO)3Re(pz)3Mn(pz)3Re(CO)3](Et3NH)2 (5) depending on the experimental conditions. Complexes 1, 3 and 5 were characterized in the solid state by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and were showed to contain Re···Mn interactions linked by and tris-μ2-pyrazolato bridges. In 5, a short [2.397(4) Å] tris(μ2-oxo)bridged MnIV-MnIV contact is found, leading to strong antiferromagnetic coupling of the d3 ions. The homometallic species [(CO)3Mn(pz)3Mn(CO)3](Et3NH) (2) was also prepared and found to be isostructural with 1.

    Notes: The mononuclear complexes [Re(CO)3(Hpz)2Br] (1) and [Re(CO)3(Hdmpz)2Br] (2) were obtained by treating [Re(CO)5Br] with pyrazole (Hpz) or 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (Hdmpz). Complex 1 reacted with triethylamine affording a mixture of the ionic dinuclear derivative (Et3NH)[Re2(CO)6(pz)2Br] (3) and of the mononuclear species [Re(CO)3(Hpz)2(pz)] (4). Complex 4 was obtained in a pure form by carrying out the reaction in the presence of excess free pyrazole. Treatment of 4 with pyridine afforded the [Re(CO)3(py)(Hpz)(pz)] species (6). The analogues of 4 and 6 with Hdmpz, i.e. [Re(CO)3(Hdmpz)2(dmpz)] (7) and [Re(CO)3(py)(Hdmpz)(dmpz)] (8) were also synthesized. All species were characterized in solution by 1H-NMR spectroscopy, while the crystal structures of complexes 1, 3, 4 and 6 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The [(CO)3Re(μ-pz)2(μ-Br)Re(CO)3]- anion represents the first structurally characterized species containing rhenium(I) atoms bridged by μ-pyrazolate ligands.
