Notes: Abstract The development of a transparent array of independently connected oxygen sensors is described. With an appropriate sensor pattern, this device may be useful to monitor the distribution of oxygen on the surface of tissues, while permitting simultaneous tissue visualization. The electrochemical characteristics of individual oxygen sensors are examined and models are proposed for the distribution of oxygen in the vicinity of individual sensors.
