    Analyse des exportations algériennes des produits frais issus de la pêche : Cas de la wilaya d’El Tarf. (2022)

    Description: Bien que le commerce international des produits de la pêche et de l’aquaculture soit dominé par les pays développés, ces dernières années les exportations en provenance des pays en développement ont affiché une croissance soutenue. Cependant contrairement à la tendance mondiale observée, les exportations algériennes de ces produits n’ont cessé de régresser depuis 2008. La présente étude est une recherche documentaire décrivant la situation des exportations des produits halieutiques algériens à une échelle locale au niveau de la wilaya côtière d’El Tarf. Elle consiste en une analyse synthétique de données statistiques officielles fournies par la Direction de la Pêche et des ressources Halieutiques de la wilaya concernée. A travers cette enquête nous avons pu déterminer les points suivants : la quantité annuelle moyenne et la structure des exportations de la wilaya d’El Tarf, les principaux marchés destinataires de ces denrées ainsi que les principales espèces négociées. Enfin, nous avons constaté qu’aucune croissance significative de de la filière exportation n’a été enregistrée sur l’ensemble de la période 2015- 2019.
    Description: Although developed countries dominate global trade in fishery and aquaculture products, exports from developing countries registered significant growth in recent years. However, contrary to the international trend, Algerian exports of these animal products have continuously regressed since 2008. The present study is a synthetic analysis of the status of Algerian fishery exports at a local scale in the coastal Wilaya of El Tarf. Our findings revealed the average annual quantity and the structure of El Tarf exports, their recipient markets, and the main negotiated species. Finally, during the study period between 2015 and 2019, there has been no notable increase in export activity in El Tarf.

    Biomonitoring of trace metal contamination in El Mellah Lagoon (Algeria) using cockle Cerastoderma glaucum (Bivalvia: Cardiidae). (2024)

    Description: This work aims to investigate the trace metal contamination of El Mellah Lagoon by assessing their accumulation levels in the tissues of the brackish water cockle Cerastoderma glaucum (Bivalvia: Cardiidae). Our findings show that copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), and lead (Pb) concentrations in cockles ranged between 0.81-2.09, 4.12–6.72, 0.09–0.15, and 0.39–0.76 mg/kg soft tissue dry weight respectively, in ascending order of: Cd〈 Pb〈 Cu〈 Zn. Statistical analysis reveals significant seasonal variations in measured metals, with the highest values all recorded in autumn but remaining well below the recommended guide values. Overall, our study excludes the existence of an ecotoxicological threat linked to the presence of essential (Cu, Zn) and toxic (Cd, Pb) metals in the cockles' flesh.
